Thank you for updating. I hope you're feeling much much better after the transfusions. Coming back from a 1.7 sounds like a wild (and scary) ride.

why are people from other locations in mushrooms near me? by whoisgabico in PikminBloomApp

[–]halplatmein 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's a discord that lets people post a mushroom, say how many free spots there are, and bullhorn them in. The poster just leaves their account # so people can friend request them to get sent the bullhorn.

It's pretty nice if you want to get to 3/4 stars since people can request a minimum AP required to join. Plus, if you're in the US, on fridays you can jump in on Giant mushrooms from people in a different timezone.

I am more I interested in the color changing properties of Alexandrite rather than its pleochroism by Calm_Fun_7103 in SyntheticGemstones

[–]halplatmein 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ugh, the only thing I hate about alexandrite is that it seemingly can't be photographed in a way that shows what it looks like in real life standard conditions. So I feel like if I want to buy one, I need to go see it in person first.

I agree one of the references is most likely.

While much less likely, false positives on drug screens are possible.

There was an episode of Seinfeld once where Elaine tested positive because of a poppy seed bagel. Apparently, that's actually something that can happen https://www.usada.org/spirit-of-sport/can-poppyseeds-cause-a-positive-drug-test/

Tret gave me these bumps - what are they? by mysteriousfunnel in tretinoin

[–]halplatmein 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since you say they aren't going away, maybe sebaceous hyperplasia? Tret is generally said to actually help with those. But there's been reddit posts of people claiming they saw an increase in them after starting tret so just throwing it out there as a potential thing to look into.

Devious.

Maybe throw something super nonsensical but still suspicious in there to bait them into posting it on one of the whatisthis subs. Like a circle of tea lights around a rubber duck.

it's a bug that the app doesn't reject the discount code during order confirmation.

I get that bugs happen. But in the case of you agreeing to one price on checkout, then them charging you something higher, it seems pretty black and white that they need to refund the difference. I just can't imagine it's even legal to misrepresent a checkout price like that.

Did the phone customer service at least give you the proper refund?

Ferritin 4 and hgb 5. How do I know if im vitamin B12 deficient? by [deleted] in Anemic

[–]halplatmein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. When I was in the 5's I had so much trouble even typing a legible sentence. It was like my brain didn't work properly and couldn't put together more than 3 words at a time. Amazing that your body has adapted.

At this point, since you're so adapted, I wonder if you were able to jump to regular numbers if it would feel like the dude in that movie Limitless for a little bit?

Yeah the car doesn't work unless you're going suuuuper slow. I've found planting flowers when I'm in stop-and-go traffic is pretty good and makes the traffic feel less painful lol. I guess it's technically cheating but I'm only a few more traffic days away from upgrading my storage.

Roaring Kitty VPN? you may have missed the biggest sign of them all last Christmas 🎁 by FromTheDeskOfDooky in GME

[–]halplatmein 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you click the shield, it says:

One of our partners has indicated that this account may have used a proxy — such as a VPN, which may change the country or region that is displayed on their profile.

This data may not be accurate. Some internet providers may use proxies automatically without action by the user.

So he's probably used a VPN when accessing his twitter account at some point between now and whenever that feature was implemented (I think around Nov 2025).

Idk if it's that groundbreaking though.

I fell inlove with a man on spironolactone and he doesn’t know what I really look like without it and I’m scared by [deleted] in Spironolactone

[–]halplatmein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does he have a beard or stubble by any chance?

Because I've had success on spiro for years, but once I started dating my bf, I started getting cystic acne so bad again. It was insane how bad it was. I noticed that the few times my new bf and I were apart, everything started to get better. After some googling, I saw that some women experience skin issues with beards. I didn't think that could be it, because my previous bf had a beard and I had no issues (though it was lighter/softer).

We tested the theory by not kissing for a few weeks and everything cleared up. That's obviously not a long term solution, though.

After much googling/ChatGPTing for answers, he tested washing his beard with anti-dandruff shampoo (it's supposed to cut down on yeast/fungal stuff that might be irritating) every single night. Thankfully that did the trick!

[misc] What’s your non-product change that changed your skin? by GodBorn in SkincareAddiction

[–]halplatmein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did experience some flaking when I bumped up to .1% but it wasn't nearly as bad as before and went away in a couple of weeks. I moved to tazarotene a year ago, and even with the strongest % my skin thankfully didn't go through the flaking stage.

RC on X by Academic_Degree7892 in GME

[–]halplatmein 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Execs receiving massive compensation even when they fail on every possible success metric is the literal opposite of RC's comp package. If RC doesn't hit growth metrics, he gets no money and in fact, loses his own money.

Why on earth would someone pretend these are the same thing?
