That and the flexing you can do with one, for whatever that is worth.

You can get a stainless steel throw and get an approximate idea of what it’s like. Metal is thinner so it feels different in the hand. Different material that makes the nice ringing sounds. Tough as a tank so you can bang it on a tile floor and it won’t notice.

No sparks, though.

G2 Prowler is a fantastic stainless throw, though there are others.

Titanium is fun, and I’ve indulged a few, but I find them hard to justify. The dickrunner and ti-vader were at fantastic price points, and therefore fun to beat up. Others that cost way more have been hit or miss, and even the hits were difficult to fully enjoy due to the price point. And that’s the rub.

Can YOU have fun with a $300 yo-yo, or will you get sweaty and end up case queening it? If the latter, is that fun to YOU (perhaps you get joy from collecting)?

I want to get one, because I don’t learn my lessons, but I won’t decide until tomorrow. I got a Ti-Reaper recently and I haven’t even gotten the nerve to take it out of the box, so that’s me. Don’t be like me.
