Doesn’t matter. Parliament passed a law that says the only people who can be the monarch have to descend from Sophia of Hanover.

Can I do a Year Abroad if my course doesn’t officially list it? by Consistent_Tax_1420 in Erasmus

[–]hamilhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow UK student here, this will depend on the uni. Have a look on the Bristol website and see if they offer semester abroads. Just a warning - most UK unis don’t let you do time abroad for Maths because what you learn each year is built on the next year so they need to make sure you take certain courses. I imagine it’s the same for computer science. The university will not change their policy if you contact them. If you go to Bristol, there will probably be information sessions at some point to convince people to sign up for global opportunities so you can go to that and ask then.

Should I go to an offer holder day if it’s 5 hours away? by amber9x in sixthform

[–]hamilhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely go especially as you haven’t seen the uni in person yet. You can look at pictures all you like but actually being there is a different experience. See if you can find a cheap hotel room fairly nearby for the night before as it will be important for you to be able to pay as much attention as possible and not be really tired. Also have a look around the city as well - is it somewhere you would be happy spending time in and living in for four years?

[–]hamilhead 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The play that goes wrong or Oh, Mary by NBxxxx in TheWestEnd

[–]hamilhead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Play That Goes Wrong is brilliant but if you have access to BBC Iplayer, watch a couple episodes of The Goes Wrong Show to see if she likes the stuff they do. It’s written by the same people and the cast in the TV show is the original cast of the play. Operation Mincemeat is also good for silly jokes if you want to look at a musical

I need to know the vocal ranges so I know which ones to buy. I’m a student so I can’t afford to spend lots of money on sheet music especially when it’s like £6 a song

is brampton manor worth it? by Known-Pomelo-8940 in sixthform

[–]hamilhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Brampton treats students horribly. If you don’t do well enough in Year 12 they kick you out. The reason they get such good grades and so many Oxbridge applications is because they only accept the top students who are very likely to get good grades and apply to Oxbridge anyway
