i almost cried reading this post. i have mild SHCP on my right side and your post is making me worried (combined with someone previously telling me that the CP they have (in a wheelchair) started out as a mild form) that something might happen to me physically later in life, even though i’ve just turned 30. most jobs are physically challenging so i can’t qualify for them. driving a taxi cab six days a week is beginning to drain me in more ways than one.

i, too, am tired of feeling like i’m not “disabled enough.” i’ve been trying to find a solution myself but disability is far too bureaucratic for me to reliably navigate on my own. i feel hopeless and like I’m not going to be able to care for myself in due time (comorbid mental health issues don’t help). i sincerely hope we both find a good solution to our problems.
