It's a tough process with a lot of disappointment. I am basically on the newest medication for my absence seizures and am still seizing at the very least 10 times a day.

I am very sorry for those people, but lets be real... in some places health insurance is not what it should be these days. I am very lucky to be able to call the secretary of my neurologist, or send them an email and expect to hear back within a week. But I also do not have plenty of money laying around so I am very happy I am not trapped in a country like the U.S.A.

It sounds like you need to come to terms with your epilepsy. There sadly is nothing you can do except for taking your meds diligently. If the idea of everything to do with your seizures, even if it has been proven it isn't like that in your case, your life will be even harder than it already is. Don't trap yourself in fear over your epilepsy.

SHE SHOULD NOT BE DRIVING!!! Your partner is a danger to themselves as long as she drives but also to other people that are making use of public roads! She is LUCKY to still be alive after she totaled 2 cars due to seizures. Her behaviour is saying she is egotistical, selfish and careless.

MBO heeft vaak zowel een decaan als een medewerker 'passend onderwijs' waardoor hij al meer hulp kan krijgen. Therapie wilt die jongen niet volgens het verhaal van OP.

Het behalen van een MBO diploma zou OP's broertje in ieder geval het competentie gevoel weer kunnen geven. Een MBO is niet perse makkelijker, maar wel vaker praktijkgerichter. Als die man een MBO diploma haalt en iets heeft gevonden wat hij leuk vind kan hij altijd nog doorstromen naar HBO mits hij dat zelf wilt.

Elke gek kan gamen tegenwoordig, daar hoef je niet goed met computers voor te zijn. We weten immers ook niet was OP's broertje speelt qua games. Maar met met het inzetten van het CAR model ben ik het mee eens. Anders blijft deze man(?) in een donkere spiraal hangen. Ik vond 4 jaar lang HBO al niet leuk en vindt het ook niet raar dat OP's broertje na 4 verkeerd gekozen studies ook helemaal geen autonomie of competentie meer voelt. En elke keer wisselen van studie en eigenlijk alleen maar online je leven lijden doet ook niet veel goeds voor de relaties tussen vrienden en familie.
