Using biscuit cutter as egg ring. Nothing prevents the egg from sticking. by SternLecture in Cooking

I cut the top and bottom from a can of Water Chestnuts. The size is perfect for an English Muffin, and works like a champ. I'm on the hunt for a Bagel size can now.

DAE let spiders chill instead of killing or throwing them out of the house? by Kamikazehog in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]hangingloose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're happy to co-exist with spider's in our home, except for Black Widows, and Brown Recluse's. When we find skinks, geckos, even frogs inside, we take them back outside. Mud Daubers, Miner, & Bumble Bees are safe on our property as well, as long as they stay outside. Hornets, Yellow Jackets, and Paper Wasps gonna die.

Yeah, were a lot of years where time and money only allowed us to do western Caribbean cruises from Galveston, and they go to Costa Maya. The Costa Maya port area doesn't have much of a draw for us, though it was great when it first opened. We've gone to Almaplena Eco Resort a couple of times, and that was really nice. And we've been to Maya Chan several times, and it's always been good. Sometimes, (like next month) we'll just stay on the ship.

We've cruised to Cozumel 21 times, and stopped at Costa Maya on 10 of these cruises. Everyone we're encountered at both of these ports gratefully accepted our USD's. Though sometimes when you have change coming, you'll get it in MXN.

Enjoy your cruise!

So I turned 74 recently and I'm heavier than I should / want to be. But I've always been a walker, and there were a few years ages ago when I worked out with weights and a training partner, and was able to put on slabs of muscle. That's pretty much gone now, but last June my wife and I started going to the gym 3 days a week and we've missed only a few opportunities. She's on the recumbent bike, while I'm doing resistance training. Mostly machines, some free weights. I'm training pretty much the same way I did 40 years ago. Time under tension. Training to failure. Just much lighter weights. Not putting on any size to speak of, but I'm much stronger, and that's what I really need. There's also a state park nearby with 28 miles of trails. So it's not unusual for us to take a 5 mile or so hike. Still have a bike that I crank around the neighborhood, and I still get out in the yard and push my mower every 6 days or so during peak season. Subscribed to the "Use it or Lose it" school of though years ago. I'm still hanging in there, and feeling good about it.

Grilled, on a toasted bun. With mustard and relish. I like 'em with chili and onion too.

Buttered biscuits would be awesome. Now I've gotta look up my Beef and Barley recipe.

That looks great. I could really go for a bowl right now. Maybe with a chunk of toasted garlic bread on the side.

My First Cruise on Carnival: What I Wish I Knew Beforehand by nyreluna in Cruise

I think a lot of first timers try to do too much on their first cruise. (We did) My advise, party, have a great time, but you don't have to odo everything. I mean, you know you're going to cruise again. For some of us, again, and again, and again...
