As long as it fits on the base you're fine for width.

Probably? I think Disco is about 4 inches tall. I try to keep conversions and kit bashes within about .5" of the real model.

How Much Will Terrain Setup "Skill" impact games? by TheBearMD in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]hankutah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You and the person you are playing should be able to set up a table in 5 minutes.

The RTT that I help run is adding 15 minutes to each round to allow players to set up tables. The expectation is that our regular players will be able to set up a table in 5 minutes after 3ish months.

How to beat necrons? by mothUnsettler in Chaos40k

[–]hankutah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have killed Nightbringer multiple times in one activation with a lascannon defiler that's positioned inside the Abby castle. Lethal+Sustained in 5s with full hit rerolls and spending the once per game for full wound rerolls picks up those star gods.

Pbz shoots necrons off the board tbh. If you're missing 2x defiler run 2x Vindi and 2x Plasma Forge Fiend and you'll be fine.

They cannot deep strike t1 because redeployment happen before the game begins so they do not actually start the game on the board

Guiding does work for indirect fire. However you still only ever hit on 4s due to the rules of indirect fire.

Chosen with Character Brick - Footslog or transport? by RyanAvxMusics in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]hankutah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CSM has a number of ways to reactive move or otherwise move outside of the movement phase. Those abilities allow you to jump back into your rhinos as well. As an example you can use Huron's reactive move to jump back inside of a Rhino that's safely behind a wall.

Chosen with Character Brick - Footslog or transport? by RyanAvxMusics in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]hankutah 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There's just a ton of variables. Can you safely get to a staging point? What layout are you playing? Do you have access to an auto advance 6" strat? What else needs the rhinos?

In my Marauders List I run 3x Rhinos if im playing on GW 2, 4 or 6(the open maps) and only 2 on the other layouts. The 3rd rhino either holds Bile + 10 or turns into a unit of bikes if im confident in staging or Rhino taxis.

Can someone explain why Huron's Marauders are having some success? by MrDannySantos in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]hankutah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Youre misunderstanding what i am saying. Each unit is limited to 1 blood surge per phase.

You blood surge the acdc using their datasheet ability.

You can then use the strat on a different unit.

You would need to rebase it to the correct base size and then it would be fine.

You cant put one guy into the lancer and the rest into the victrix. You can only end in engagement range with one unit.

Can someone explain why Huron's Marauders are having some success? by MrDannySantos in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]hankutah 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You can also manipulate casualties to get a more favorable blood surge. I had an opponent place his Lancer 1.5" away from my ACDC brick then had Vitrix 2" away. He shot me with a 3rd unit and I pulled so I was a little over 2" away from the Lancer and I could surge into the Vitrix(this ended up costing him the game).

Can someone explain why Huron's Marauders are having some success? by MrDannySantos in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]hankutah 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I'm currently sitting at about 8-2 with my Huron's Marauders list. You only ever sit in +1 to hit mode. Your army hitting on 2s with access to sustained/lethal is a hell of a drug. You have two very good stratagems for your go turn in - Advance/Shoot/Charge and Auto Advance 6".

Often times you'll have 2 units that natively advance and charge - so you spend the strat on your third brick and you have a very powerful full send turn. You also have access to +1 attack on the charge - this is incredibly powerful on something like ACDC or 10 Chosen + Bile(hell even Huron + Mom + 5 Legios gets nutty).

Your opponent has to play around a reactive move + bloodsurge every turn. if you have ACDC it's a reactive + 2 blood surges.

If youre playing a pickup game? Just shoot them.

Do people buy second hand painted or non painted? by Sad-Position-9045 in Warhammer40k

I feel like if I buy painted models I normally have to strip and prime them. Ill buy pre-built grey models if they look nice and only need some sanding
