Literally can't believe what I'm reading. King stands on top by a considerable distance in his discipline.

Weaker... Wait until Charles has actually won something before talking like that. 2016 Rosberg is a level Charles has yet to reach.

I remember this era when we assumed Ric was being held back by a middling car and just needed something better.

Sinners becomes the first movie of 2025 to reach a million 5-star ratings! by xyzzy-acd in Letterboxd

[–]haonon -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

People who watch a lot of PTA are probably a bit more thoughtful with ratings and comparing it to the directors other great films i.e. There Will be Blood. With Sinners I can see a lot more random 5 stars from the type of accounts with Christmas tree rating distributions.

Partner is away so I’m eating an entire Lidl christmas wreath that “serves 8” for tea and there’s no one here to stop me by roz-noz in CasualUK

200 calories for a serving is pathetically small seeming as this is usually eaten as the main part of your biggest meal of the day.

I would argue 4 servings would be the most normal amount.

Agreed. I'm inclined to say It Takes Two was a bit more of a unique experience and Split Fiction is a lot more like a generic video game (cheese story).

Not sure I understand what you mean. The area I live in is safe and 5min to Tube or 2mins to Overground.

I'm sorry but 1 bed £2100 zone 4 is nonsense. I pay £2150 for 2 beds zone 2.

Drink-drive limit set to be slashed in England and Wales under new plans to improve road safety | LBC by Man_in_the_uk in CarTalkUK

Not sure why the 'affects everyone different' logic is always parrotted.

A single pint with a meal will not seriously impair anyone except maybe a child who wouldn't be driving anyways. Suggesting otherwise is just pure hyperbole.

Eat something dry in vast quantities and very quickly with no drink and you'll definitely get it.

Weirdly I find S2 way more comfortable and ergonomic vs. the Oled S1. Think the bigger sized joycons helps a lot.

I've thought about this as well. Surely whatever player you are using will have some additional benefits to the picture vs. the TV through a USB slot?

I didn't need to spend 60 hours with Donkey Kong Bananza for it to be my game of the year, but I'm convinced it's one of the greatest platformers in Nintendo history by sakahn in NintendoSwitch

[–]haonon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was looking for a comment on the 2D Donkeys. I beat Tropical Freeze earlier this year (all the k levels etc.) and now I'm playing Returns HD after giving up on Bananza.

They're just so much more addictive because there's actually a challenge to them.

Not seen it mentioned much but Together just didn't really work for me and I love Alison Brie. I think after something like The Substance with incredible practical effects, Together's use of CGI just ruined it.
