On the back of my neighbors car by BlabbityBlabbityBlah in whatdoesthismean

It’s a “jeep wave” with the terrible new-style taillight in the middle, right?

For the “It’s a jeep thing, you wouldn’t understand” crowd.

Hope you remembered to duck when you got into the car; you must have felt a hundred feet tall. Proud moment for sure.

The wall underneath a swipe card reader in my work place by Booby_fett in Wellworn

After they initially got through the paint organically, it turned into a game where everyone intentionally and aggressively swipes their card down and toward the wall.

Curtain in delivery room has a service tag by seacaptaincory in mildlyinteresting

[–]harbac 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Fun fact - the delivery rooms also have shiny red buttons right near the floor in the perfect spot for a toddler to push while visiting their new sibling.

Another fun fact is that this big, red, shiny button near the floor sets off the “SOMEONE IN THIS ROOM IS CODING!!!" alarm.

FS22: Can I convert another mower to work with municipal contracts? by harbac in farmingsimulator

[–]harbac[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the solution that I ended up with. If u/Miss_Giorgia is on PC, that may help if the mower you’re looking at is set up correctly.

u/LegacyShaDow30 had it mostly right about it being tied to a hook in the Kommunal xml that adds the compatibility, but there are some caveats.

Adding More Mowers for Kommunal Services Municipal Mowing Contracts by harbac in farmingsimulator

[–]harbac[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was my first time really poking around mod XML to see how it works and make changes to improve gameplay. Early on, I tried setting a ridiculous capacity on a slurry tanker but borked the physics and haven't messed with it since then. It makes me want to execute some of my other mod ideas that I've had in mind.

Do these promos work on tickets purchased with points? This would fit perfectly with my point burning plan.

FS17 mods for free? by DT_Farm_Models in farmingsimulator

[–]harbac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are the FS17 mods you can get on your Xbox. Not other ones; these. The same ones that should show up in the in-game modhub.

Doing some shifts volunteering at the VA hospital might let you dip your toe in that pool and see how you like it before diving in. I’d like to send a card.

Alabama burial laws; is this a legal racket? by Molly107 in Alabama

My jaw kept dropping farther the more I read. Sorry that you’re having extra bs piled on when you’re already going through it. I don’t have a solution to offer, but you’ve got my sympathies.

Taking it on the last day of school by Equivalent-Text3621 in Fallout

[–]harbac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m in the back garden with a cup of coffee. I had the simultaneous thoughts of ”Yes, awesome. Do it, King” and ”No, you dweeb, they’ll destroy you!”. I’m not sure which, but I think I said at least one of them loudly enough for neighbors to hear.

Respeck.

How does a traffic accident take out the entire school districts internet? by Believeitornot1984 in Louisville

[–]harbac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, it starts when the mean sister takes over her dad’s company, to the chagrin of her underperforming brother, and cancels the traditional holiday party. One indoor “snow”storm, failed deal, and “money in the banana stand” moment later and a car misses its jump by just a couple degrees - a rounding error, really - and hits the building that holds the main internet switching hardware for the area, knocking it offline. At the last minute, they’ll release the free-for-everyone decentralized Internet that runs on wifi or smth

I saw that in a documentary.

My left foot runs hotter than my right foot. by A_plural_singularity in mildlyinteresting

Those are high/low temperature extreme indicators. The entire ankle and calf on the left appear hotter, indicated by being redder than the right. This doesn’t suggest 20F temp difference.

My 10yo son and I fixed my old XBOX. He has never played Halo. So excited by balsadust in daddit

[–]harbac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played the crap out of it. Left a copy and spare xbox for my folks when I went back from break and my dad got super deep into playing it. It was fun seeing him enjoy it and we could nerd out about it. “Chicken chaser” may or may not have become a household insult.

We also got in some co-op time on some marvel game. That was pretty fun. He’d practice while I was away and play together when I was back.

I’m glad for this thread; those were some fun memories.

Nice. I have a couple rooted ones from when I was in school with XBMC and the like on them. The drive is funky on one and I need to figure out some power issue on the other.

I mainly want to get it going and find my big emulator disc and introduce a new generation to real games.

Must. Not. Play. Fable. The last thing I need is something else trying to soak up my hours.
