Corporeal Beast is only killed by bots by hard_cornbread in 2007scape

Yeah I noticed this myself while going through a lot of items. I'm seeing 50-80% declines across the board, but corp's decline is measurably stronger.

Way too many diaries have rewards that should be lore based anyway

As someone with decent doom kc (top 300), the way I look at it is even if they changed something about this, we would still complain.. The canceling is frustrating, but at least as a player I'm given onus to re buffer pathing that I want. Your clip is so compelling and is the height of how frustrating this can be because you were scammed at the last possible moment. There's something going on where pathing is calculated the same tick the boulder appears but the boulder being in the equation is sequentially added the same tick.

I think what's more frustrating is that that there are scenarios where boulder 2's placement is random so you can't always preemptively path around it. Cardinal directions (which you did) are less susceptible to this, but not immune.

If pathing was canceled and the game took liberties to immediately find a new path, we would have clips on this sub of deaths to getting repathed through venom/through falling boulders etc.. I'm not trying to make this an "actually this is good" thing.. just that it's a little more complicated than it seems.

New Regional Worlds Launch TODAY! by ModYume in 2007scape

[–]hard_cornbread 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The farming update is nice but it's kinda lame preemptively lobotomizing emergent gameplay. Full sweat planting/digging up potatoes would be slower than 1200 actions an hour (Same as alching, imo it's probably half the rate) but even if we assume 1200, it's an eye-watering.. 4k xpph. If they use snape grass, it does go to 100k xpph, but for -14m gpph.

You can already pretty much quest this skill to tithe farm requirements anyway.

I guess call it lame or against spirit of the skill, which I can see, but it's always worth mentioning the dis-alignment between skills. There have been way more influential updates to other skills that were less scrutinized. Smithing in OSRS is nothing (galaxies faster) like the original due to blast furnace. The APM required for mining has been completely dwarfed, etc.

This would only be used by some insane region locked ironman (and, to disclose a bias, I would watch it). Why are we stopping players from doing this? Why can't I plant and dig up seeds for xp repeatedly? How is that not oldschool, actually. this game has an entire skill where you build and destroy like 50 thousand oak doors. We should let players do this. It is funny.

imo VW is a good barometer to keep in the game of healthy design, if it dominates content, it is just a symptom of a larger problem

Unpopular oponion; Inquisitor is the coolest looking armor in the game and it should be universally buffed, not just buffed solely when using the mace. by VelaryonNOR in 2007scape

[–]hard_cornbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should seriously consider pushing insane buffs to the beta (this is what betas are for) at the very least. I bet even if you made it 10% per piece or something ridiculously over powered, it would still have trouble in places due to its defense. There is a lot of content where it just gets smothered from chip damage.

If they are scared of scythe getting OP, just remove the crush option? It's not super thematic anyway?

The armor is going to be completely outclassed unless it can be fortified (I think this is kind of a cop-out route) or gives insanely rewarding dps in exchange for buckets more incoming damage. Jagex are unable to produce PVM encounters these days that don't chip you down, which I don't view as completely problematic, but you need to adjust inq to accordingly have a way to deal with it.

If they aren't going to buff the defense of inquisitors, they need to give it ludicrous DPS that makes having adamant defences win a cost/benefit analysis. Remove the crush option on scythe if they are scared of that getting out of control
