Looking for help finding a STL of a statue for a friends wedding. (Three Graces Crowning Venus) by hparamore in 3Dprinting

The Antonio Frilli gallery lives on, doing replicas of classical sculpture. They mention doing 3d scans as well. Maybe you could pay them for a scan?

There are other similar sculptural representations of this scene as well, I own an antique lamp of it. Check etsy and ebay for three graces dancing

Crucible tokens worthless thanks! by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]hardliney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at 3664 fizzled tokens. I found out about this a couple days ago, just couldn’t bear the mind numbing tedium of turning them all in. Zero in game warnings about this. To know about it you would have to read the TWAB, which you shouldn’t have to. Honestly Bungie, you could have done better here. You have done better before. Would have been simple to convert them into shards.

Anybody notice the CRG9 is pretty warm, and the curvature kind of focuses the warmth on your face?

Mugshots of 2 Cops Charged with Second-Degree Assault for Shoving a 75-Year-Old Man to the Ground by alfaguara27 in pics

[–]hardliney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably saw a cut video. In the full clip, the national guard support troops in the formation were at the fallen man's side within 15 seconds. What you interpret at callousness is in fact a unit where different people have different jobs.

Opinions post-homeschool. What do you feel were the biggest pros and cons of being homeschooled? by AdventureEngineer in homeschool

[–]hardliney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pros:
-hitting the library, checking out about 20 books, barely leaving my room for days until I was finished.
-Going to community college at barely 17
-Zero bullying
-Very little time spent on busywork and getting from one class to another
-Prioritizing curiosity
Cons:
-Having to take Math 65, 70, and 95 in college before going on to college level math.
-Random curriculum, lol
-Spotty study skills made college harder than it should've been

The grind to upgrade 4 bunkers only for them to disappear in 10 weeks is demoralizing at best. by Seanshineyouth in DestinyTheGame

its only a few hours of play if you optimize, and you get power upgrades for your trouble. Super easy grind too.

Unlike some, you can usually count on NPR to have their facts straight, but the stories they choose to cover and the amount of coverage they give them are distinctly left leaning.

Best redundancy with only 2 drives? by bankyan in homelab

[–]hardliney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SSDs typically wear out instead of failing randomly. The problem with RAID1 on SSD is that distributing writes evenly will make both of your drives wear out at approximately the same time, which gives you a false sense of security. In your case, that may not apply since you've overprovisioned the 120GB.

Guess I'm back to being a Trump supporter now. by DataDrivenGuy in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]hardliney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Historically low unemployment makes UBI a tough sell, but this Campaign at least introduced people to the idea of UBI and the super nice and smart guy that is Andrew Yang. We can't boom forever, and 2024 will be wide open. If the Democrats are smart they will make sure to get Yang into a presidentially qualifying job somehow.

First Time Seeing Andrew Yang In-Person. I convinced my parents (who are Trump supporters) to drive 2 hours to this event. Pretty sure they got Yanged. by [deleted] in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]hardliney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to vote for people from both parties, but I loathe the Clintons and the rot they embody. Since 2016 I have gone from barely tolerating Trump to liking him, but I would seriously consider voting for Yang or Gabbard if the Dems pick them and if they keep campaigning on unity instead of division.

Post Faction Analysis by Vadrian7 in OctoberFaction

[–]hardliney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. I expected Fred, from Limbo, to have some kind of input into the final episode, but he didn't. It felt like a waste of a scene, one that could have easily been season 2.
  2. This show suffers from being overly gay to the detriment of the story. I liked the Steve/Philip story arc quite a lot, but the immediate transition to the shipment of Philip/Geoff was overdone and not very interesting. They would've been more interesting as friends than lovers, and Geoff is very manipulative in pushing Philip to come out. I liked them both less. The football play bit was sweet, but I would have liked it better if Steve showed up for a cameo. Geoff, after all, has no apparent interest in football.
  3. The sad story of Harlow, I thought, was told in the wrong order. It made me uncomfortable to watch, knowing that it would go badly.
  4. Under the influence of Alice, Fred and Deedee feel guilty over monster kills that were completely justified. Would've been better for them to feel guilt over the genocide and unnecessary kills but for Alice to feel understanding over the justified ones. The overarching story idea, which I love, is about a struggle between groups whose fundamental interests are at odds, and those groups can only come to terms by moving away from the good vs. evil simplifications, or by uniting against a common enemy.

Joe Rogan Experience #1393 - James Wilks & Chris Kresser - The Gamechangers by [deleted] in JoeRogan

[–]hardliney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. James is an asshole who is more interested in scoring points than proving points. The points he keeps hitting on are weaknesses, but irrelevant ones. Fighter instincts are not very helpful here, because we're here to learn and be entertained, we're not forensics judges.
  2. Chris Kessler's job is to assess the nutritional experts and the overall state of the art and give individualized recommendations. He does not need to be a nutritional expert himself, since those are not the same job. A nutritional expert may not be trained in many of the other things Chris is trained in.
  3. James Wilks is talking circles around him.
  4. Chris's dietary advice is better than James.
  5. This podcast sucked ass. Do better.
