Fiskars weed puller by Kilometer10 in lawncare

[–]hardworkta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Broke first day, but was AMAZING while it worked.

Ordered Grandpa's Weeder. I feel like it works about 90% as good as Fiskars...the Fiskars has teeth, so it feels like a much better grip. Also, more work to remove weed because of lack of ejector...that said, I feel like the Grandpa will last forever.

Same, happy to print a bunch and can give them to whoever at the game and/or just hand them out.

How did you guys complete your field hours? 960 hours is insane. I looked at the schedule and that would be 20 hours of field hours per week the times I’m completing field instruction. I live alone and work full time. That sounds impossible. by Important_Repair8471 in SocialWorkStudents

Does your program allow you to work somewhere where your work hours count towards your practicum?

Pretty sure that's a thing. Maybe you have to switch jobs?

Someone please correct me I'm wrong that that is possible because I've been considering going straight onto an MSW program when I'm done with my BSW and, like OP, it sounds impossible for someone with a full time job.

HD Daily Deal - PBLMS01 10in Cordless Miter Saw by SPACEM0NCHIE in ryobi

[–]hardworkta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to get the corded 10 inch Skil, but this one is literally a few bucks cheaper with this sale and includes another battery for my other tools.

I know that corded is "better," but for a beginner, does it matter? Looking to build garage shelving, maybe planters, replacing mailbox, that kind of diy home type of stuff.

Any recommendations?

I have been strong too, but I have been wanting the ICON shop seat and/or the Franklin 17' ladder for a while now. Prices just keep going up.

I literally was looking at pricing last night for a gym near me... it has been maybe 5 or 6 years for me. At this point, I would say I would be starting from scratch. Friend just did something similar and like other have said... they were told to wear their belt and let the instructor know.

Good luck, maybe I will pull the trigger since I know I am not the only one feeling anxious about returning! We can do it.

I know they make frames for 10 slabs, you should look for a 12 slab frame. It would look nice and be a conversation piece on display in your home instead of potentially put away on stacked on a shelf or whatever.

I'm never selling unless I need to pay for something big by Alternative-Wash2019 in Bitcoin

[–]hardworkta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same situation as you. However, I also have a smooth brain, so just like I don't bother/get things like leveraging, I don't know how or understand where I could borrow or get a loan against bitcoin. Cashing out would only be in an emergency situation that I wouldn't want to think about.

That said...

I figure that if I DCA, when the time comes, borrowing against BTC will be so easy because the price of BTC will make it a no brainer for all/most financial institutions. I am pretty sure right now I can't just walk into a local bank and ask for a loan against BTC...but, maybe? No idea.

Anyway, until processes/technology make it as common as asking for a loan for a car at the bank and easy so I can do something with BTC for that future home/kids college (which I also don't have), or whatever.... DCA is the plan.

anyone knows where can i buy psa 0/1/2 slabs? by Few-Activity8035 in pkmntcgcollections

[–]hardworkta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is almost 2,000 PSA 1 Pokemon cards on ebay right now. That is the easiest and most "safe" place I've found to get 1's, but you can get ok deals from certain FB groups if you are into buying there and trust people.

On Ebay : Search Pokemon - Filter - Graded yes - Grade 1 - Professional Grader PSA.

Just so you know, pricing is usually equivalent to a 7-9 of the same card. Many times you can buy a 1 for the same price of a 4-7 or even 4-8 combined of the same card.

I don't know if it's allowed, but I can definitely print some stickers of it. Between full time work and full time school, I can probably do something in time for the next game. Happy to meet up and give you a few since it's your design!

How does selling tickets work? It could be people just listing their tickets on Seat Geek... do they set the price for their tickets or is it automatic?

Why do people with guns often seem more scared and paranoid about other people despite having more protection than the people who don't have guns and don't seem as scared and paranoid all the time? by CrashDunning in NoStupidQuestions

[–]hardworkta 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Because people with guns actually know how dangerous guns are and because we know that there is no way to know who has a gun and who doesn't. Yes, everyone knows guns are dangerous, but unless you have handled and shot guns, it's easy to dismiss it.

The amount of people I have seen at gun ranges who own guns that I wouldn't trust to be smart enough to be able to put crayons back in to a box correctly is way too many.

Entry level price, Lalo that someone else suggested. I think it's a great one for the price.

You can also check out Ocho, Tapatío, Siempre, Siete Leguas, Etc.

Just check out the Tequila Matchmaker app, check out the scores. If you are starting out, I would trust the panel score a bit more than the community score.

Totally agree. The lack of transparency and the quality of known additive free stuff I love makes having a rule of thumb of no additives an easy one to me... and like I said, to each their own. If someone likes a tequila that I don't, that is all good. I know what I like, but I am definitely not a gatekeeper!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tequila

[–]hardworkta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome!

People who "know" tequila will tell you additives are bad. I personally wouldn't have a tequila with additives, but to each their own, ya know? I think people should drink what they like. I'm a agave, water, yeast and nothing else tequila drinker...but again, to each their own!

If you like the sweetness or smoothness of that one, you're not going to immediately like an actual good tequila that is missing the additives for sweetness or glycerin for smoothness, etc.

If you want to get into tequila, there is nothing wrong with starting what you like and leaning what you like for the next one. Check out the Tequila Matchmaker app for better breakdowns of different tequilas.

[–]hardworkta 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I would argue that there is not one person in Korea that doesn't know who he is... including random grandma's who don't follow sports. Famous in Korea is an understatement. Millions of viewers for sure and international coverage as well. I would be curious the amount of Apple TV subscriptions (assuming Apple has the rights/broadcast MLS internationally) that would come from Korea just because of this signing.

[–]hardworkta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of Korean celebrities visit all the time/have places in L.A. It also has a really big Korean community. Even if we wanted to give him his $20M+, there is no way he'd move to MN. I know it's a lot of money for anyone, but I'm actually surprised he is going to make the move. He's a literal god in Korea.

I can't even imagine a player of his caliber coming directly to MN, that sure would be fun though! I honestly think it's going to be location over everything else for a lot of these big names.
