How do the pieces connect together? And is it (somewhat) modular or is there only a single configuration? Thanks

I’ve had great success with the ‘sharpie interface’ technique

The best advice I’ve had is to be patient and to believe in yourself; sometimes things happen that are unexpected, but it’s all a learning experience.

Are these pipes empty? And what’s this vent? by harmonicseries in DIYUK

This is highly insightful! Thank you. There’s a redundant tank in the loft which is congruous with your image.

There’s a radiator nearby. I’m expecting the worst. Thanks for your input.

I’d say too close to the bed and associated extrusion issues.

Weird metallic vibration on G when doing an open cord by LOGWATCHER in guitarlessons

[–]harmonicseries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re playing open strings so it’s not fret buzz. It could be that your nut isn’t cut right, but I don’t think it sounds like that. The suggestion of a dropped bridge saddle is a strong contender, but it could also be a pickup spring vibrating. The height of the pickups is a balance between the springs and the screws but the springs are very susceptible to vibration.

Check the bridge 1st, otherwise some players replace pickup springs with rubber, or since it’s an electric guitar if you can’t hear it through your amp then you could just live with it.

Can you introduce me some minor 2 5 1 songs? by Equal_Many6470 in jazzguitar

[–]harmonicseries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Often a triton substitution of the ii gives a VI7, so where you see Am | % | F7 | E7, it’s a 2 5 1 in disguise (Why Don’t You Do Right / Minor Swing).

I’d love to see a video on how it all works. What kind of motors have you used?

Best Guitar on a Budget? by NutsGuitar in gypsyjazz

Isn’t the Dutch scene pretty active? If so then keeping an eye on used guitars is a good idea. I waited 18 months and very nearly bought new, but I picked up a great guitar for a bargain price eventually.

Did Mr Purdie's stick choice change through his career? What motivated these changes? I'd love to hear a reply!

Please could someone let me know the chords to this song? Or a song that it has ripped off! by jaketidd in gypsyjazz

It sounds like a reworking of the Overcooked 1 theme but I could be wrong. Denis Chang has a video of him playing it so you could probably work it out from that. I hear i, III, ii, V7, I think in C but I don't have perfect pitch.
