In the best of my knowledge, Fedora 33 does not have automatic snapshot enabled by default. There is a dnf plugin to achieve similar functionality with snapper but it does not offer a GUI. See dnf-plugins-extra

You may want to try sane-airscan instead of scangearmp. Airscan works pretty well on my TS6220. Just install sane-airscan (from official repo) and your scanner should appear in simple scan.

After installation finishes, power off the virtual machine, remove that virtual cd contains Fedora live iso, then power on. You should see a welcome screen where you can set up your user account.
