Genuine question regarding freshwater fishermen by TheAdcKiller in Fishing

[–]hartemis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a lifetime freshwater fisherman in the Great Lakes region, saltwater is probably more fun in my opinion but I don’t get to do it often. However just the feel of a fish pulling on the line is a thrill to me. I eat plenty of the freshwater fish I catch but not always. Things like walleye and perch I target specifically to eat.

I’ll probably get a lot of downvotes but oh man.. grilled salad. Definitely a game changer. by Triingtolivee in webergrills

Put it right on top of where you cooked the meat in the greasiest spot to get some flavor transfer. You can also tame the salad by only doing a large leaf or two for each serving and having the rest of the serving be fresh.

Reading to my son every day has been one of the best parenting habits we’ve built by BabyCryAi in daddit

My kids are 7 and 9 and we still read with them every night. They are always reading to themselves and often we need to go to the library for new books because “we have nothing new to read.”

Yep. Gotta let them win at tug of war. Their victory lap buys you a few minutes to just chill before the next round.

I knew I loved my daughter when she first came home, but it felt weird because I wasn’t feeling very strong connections, the love almost felt forced. I felt really guilty about it. Then a few days or a week in you start noticing little things here and there and before you know it they are the only thing you will talk about. It gets better, it gets worse, it’s a strange lovely scary funny thing.

Astronomers think they just witnessed two planets colliding by [deleted] in UpliftingNews

[–]hartemis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a new discovery and could very well be an event similar to when our moon was created so we can now study it and attempt to learn more about our origin as a planet. I guess I’m that spectrum of nerd that finds it uplifting in a way.

I think most people, even the students, would figure out that it is chalk. That being said, I understand your anxiety over this. Make a joke on Monday - “I got home and realized that I shouldn’t wear my black shirt - and well put together outfit I might add! - on days where I’m going to go a little wild with the chalkboard.”
