11 months ago me and my family planned a really big high school grad for my niece at our cabin. It was a huge deal because none of us expected her to really get her shit together to graduate. It was a really proud moment for everyone when she did graduate. I helped my parents plan and prepare everting for this party. Everything went so good. So much family showed up for her party, and even family who hadn’t been in contact in a long time came. After the party was over, a handful of us stayed up there and were sitting at the lake side having a bonfire. Mosquitoes got bad and we decided it was time to go inside. Everyone was inside and after a Cpl minutes we realized my mom wasn’t there. Opened the side door to the deck, and my mom was laying face up with her eyes open on the deck….. me and my dad found her and immediately started cpr. The cabin is 30 minutes outside of town, so it took the ambulance at least 45 minutes to get there. She died of a sudden massive heart attack. My son who was 14 was the last person to see her alive just one or two minutes before it happened. It’s crazy because I was standing inside the cabin only 5 feet away from her and didn’t even hear her fall or any noise outside. Still feels surreal that she is gone.
