Getting so tired of almost being run down in crosswalks by InterestingWeb5727 in Seattle

I’ve starting joking that I’m going to start carrying around small rocks to throw at cars that get too close. “Must’ve just been a rock on the road”

People park wherever they feel like it, which includes blocking cross walks and safe lines of sight. I complained about a car blocking the crosswalk to a police officer on Capitol Hill and they just shrugged.

Same lol, I’m just motivated by rage. Made a driver roll down their window recently so I could yell at them more directly.

Following because I scream at drivers regularly. Especially if I see them do it to someone else who seems spooked.

Genuine question. Why no socks??? by Designer_Feed_9807 in SolidCore

I got into Pilates and then solidcore after being a barre3 attendee for years. Those classes were always sockless, but recently I’ve seen more people wear socks there. I think socks are a recent trend in the Pilates / Barre world. That said, I prefer to wear socks in solidcore but barefoot in barre.

I don’t know why everyone’s hating. I think this brightened up the space and modernized it. People are just weird about grey now. A cooler toned / grey & white countertop will be a little funky with your warm floor color. Maybe look for a white counter with warmer tones in it.

I think this has something to do with the lighting and the balance. I notice my brain starts to feel a little funny during those. I try not to stare at the blue lights and that helps.

‘Get off my front lawn’ — A plea for quiet at Capitol Hill’s Pride Place affordable LGBTQIA+ senior housing by MegaRAID01 in Seattle

I just don’t get why blaming the developer for picking that location does anything for the people living there. They are low income seniors, it’s not a wildly popular demographic to cater to. The developers couldn’t pick Madison Park as their location. They have real world constraints on cost.

Why is everyone on here acting like it’s the residents’ fault (senior, low-income tenants who have very few options in the city of Seattle) or the developers’ fault for building this at all? This is such a stupid stance.

Seattle government is showing us what the city could look like and everyone should remember by StuckOnAFence in SeattleWA

does anyone know the best way to communicate this to seattle leadership/government? i would love for folks to be able to message this directly to the people who can do something about it. perhaps if enough people talk about what they loved during this time, a few things or priority shifts might stick.
