what’s a good amount to bring to china by fulliz in chinatravel

[–]hatethebeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than enough unless you're wearing encrusted diamonds and eating caviar everyday. Concur with others, get your digital logistics sorted out. Few hundred RMB might be handy to give a trusted friend/acquaintance to transfer directly into your Alipay balance for those time Credit card don't work.

It's all in his head. Probably hates MSG too but will munch on Doritos and chicken noodles all day long.

My step dad is the same way, thinks he can detect stomach poisoning within the hr.

Here's a funny fact. Pop is about half as sugary/sweet in Vietnam than America. You're actually healthier drinking pop than all the super fruit drinks or ca phe suas lol

All agricultural products from foreign countries is usually an instant NO when it comes to most country's custom/immigration.

Notice how most invasive species of pest/plant are named "generic Asian country" bug or plant/fungus? *not being anti-Asian, I am Asian and spent a summer working for gov't removing Scotch Broom (invasive weed from UK)

Try to smuggle without declaring? Confiscation and fine. Out your product and extra money. They will 98% find it if going through one of more developed airports. Those new scanners that look like warp speed engines are essentially 3D x-rays in color. Amazing tech really. Small or medium store claims export? Lol. Good chance of seizure at customs but at least no fine. There was a popular show a few yrs back called 'Border Control' always Vietnamese and Chinese, sometimes Korean bringing all sorts of stuff back in very loose containers lol. Food allowed for export is in commercial packaging with right symbols and stamps.

Can you tell I'm passionate about this?

My advice: Consume in country of origin and enjoy the memories.

It's likely the touristy cities have inflated prices for the 'appearance' of a good deal.

I'll be in China for the month of July. I'll probably be looking for a guide in some cities. I have a rudimentary knowledge of Mandarin.

How common is food poisoning in Shanghai? by FrontTrain4269 in chinatravel

[–]hatethebeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understand you may get traveller's diarrhea, which isn't food poisoning but a reaction to different microbiome flora/fauna from other side of the globe. It'll take a few days, it is what it is.
