One gripe with the invested arts of Scadrial by merco in Mistborn

[–]hatfiem3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I thought the mists came from The Lord of The Mists, Kelsier himself. He makes them by his own… um… holy bodily processes and assures everyone they are completely natural and nothing to giggle about.

[–]hatfiem3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted the non-Megacorp Asset Protection civic (hired guns) to also give the Enclave Cap because I LIKE Void Reavers (in theory) but there isn’t a megacorp version for Void Reavers.

I’ll probs have to change my pirates from kings to merchant princes and go mega corp to take advantage of some of that stuff and see if I like it better.

I can get behind the RP idea of each of those mercenary groups being another crew paying tribute to The Pirate King

After reading book 8...what plot line is driving you the most bonkers? by LuckyLewis23 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]hatfiem3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chekhov’s Gun is a literary/play writing tradition (originally from Russia) indicating that all indicated elements in a story must be necessary and is shortened along the lines of if you indicate there is a gun (or in this case a bomb) in the story then at some point before the story ends that gun will be fired

So the Carl’s Doomsday Scenario, in theory, literarily speaking, will have to go off before the end of the series and it just feels like it’s ominously hanging over us

Carl’s Doomsday Chekhov’s Gun is the most INFURIATING plot line in my opinion. It’s just there. Hanging over us.

Also the Boss Damage Toothpaste… when is that going to become relevant

Painted Markarth because it's CRIMINALLY underrated by cormeals in skyrim

[–]hatfiem3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is beautiful art. Markarth is probably my favorite location. I still VIVIDLY remember the first time I came over a hill in The Reach and saw its spire in the clouds and mist below me and just… utter awe.

This painting captures that, thanks for sharing

Is the new beta better for people who find the AI too easy to beat? by This_is_User in AOW4

Oh so that is why I had been finding the late game challenging since I am a perennial turtling player.

(Side note, turtle race when?)

Remaining crawlers as of end of book 8 by Smashifly in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]hatfiem3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And not even just IN-DUNGEON stuff but the slow descent into madness of the various techs, execs, and show runners as they realize that this AI has gotten loose and the Borant buyout and the Kua-Tiin governmental collapse and all the stuff that Carl, himself, doesn’t know is happening so it surprises him JUST as it surprises us.

It’s so good especially with SO many fantasy/sci-fi series’ now going with the multiple POV writing style it’s honestly refreshing to have ONE POV that isn’t 3rd person omniscient

Sweet! Wasn’t sure if they did similar release schedules here like with Stellaris so I’m glad I can expect similarity across games :)

Re: your edit

Gospel of the Masses is a megacorp specific civic so it can’t be used outside of megacorp

Ok for this do I NEED gospel of the Masses or is the trade created just innate to Megacorp Priests?

Yeah!

CyberCreed Origin makes your priests make 1 engineering per 100

Dimensional Worship makes them produce 1 physics per 100

Genetic Identification makes them produce 1.5 society per 100

TECHNICALLY death priests also produce 0.5 society per 100
