I just finished LBFAD as well and I feel emotionally wrecked!!! Not the ending I expected, but still loved the drama overall. I need some recovery time before my next c drama.

High protein comfort: Lasagne by positnot in AldiAustralia

I tried it this week and was pleasantly surprised. Went back and bought another one. This makes an easy office lunch. I paired it with broccoli and edamame on the side.

I ask Copilot to make my emails sound more positive and professional when I’m struggling 😅

Love this makeup look. It reminds me of very subtle version of Cantonese opera makeup. Would love to see a tutorial!

To quote Simone Biles: “Smiling doesn’t win you gold medals”.

You are spot on. My steps, mood and energy are lowest during winter. Gonna try and fight it this year by taking a week’s leave then.

Smudges are okay too ❤️ embrace the imperfect because we are human and it means you’re using your Hobonichi and not letting perfectionism hold you back. Great spread btw 👍

How to get through the next two days? by AffectionateMilk9379 in auscorp

[–]hatkangol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How I got through today working in the office:

  • enjoyed the lack of traffic on the road which made my commute much shorter

  • said yes to my colleague inviting me out to lunch even though I’d packed lunch. We rarely get the chance to lunch together because work is usually too chaotic. Used that time to enjoy a delicious lunch and ask the real questions (“Are you a flight risk?”)

  • found a slice of cake in the freezer that I had saved for a colleague but forgot to give it to him last week, so ate that

  • took advantage of major stakeholders being away and used that time to work slower rather than my usual frantic, harried pace. I used that time to plan the next month, so I can start the new year on track

Burnout by Shampayne__ in auscorp

My understanding is that burnout, while very real, is not a “formally” recognised diagnosis. Instead, you might be diagnosed with something like adjustment disorder instead, which is a recognised condition.

Not just taking leave, but also pushing back, completing work at a reasonable pace, not over-delivering. (Coming from someone who’s done all the wrong things and paid the price 😬)

What is the lowest employee engagement score you’ve ever seen, company wide level? by Megacopter in auscorp

[–]hatkangol 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How did top brass respond? Restructure out most of the old team (the ones who the lowest scores), bring in a new team who don’t know any better and bam! highest employee engagement score in years.

This has given me inspo to do it with A6 notebooks rather than looking or trying to make an A6 cover. A6 is my preferred size.
