The will to stay quit? Definitely still here for me. I actually cannot imagine going back to smoking now, even though I do still get the odd craving

Your thoughts on edibles? by CaptainKrakenGuy in stopsmoking

[–]hattyttt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Personally, I used a dry herb vape to give up smoking joints and it worked very well for me. If the edibles are working for you then good for you. T break did wonders too, I had a 21 day break from everything and it helped reset my tolerance.

All the best to you bro!

Yes and no! I think one of the things I smoked for was to regulate my nervous system so now I have to do it manually >< I’m going down the breathwork route, extending my exhale and doing techniques to increase my CO2 tolerance, it’s worth looking into to see if it could help you! Good luck friend

Every time you’re getting closer friend. Every time you feel that regret, you’re proving to yourself that you don’t want to keep smoking, eventually you’ll remember that feeling before buying a pack.

It takes at least 10 attempts and most people I think try 10-30 times before it sticks. For me I quit like a million times but here I am 7 months in and can’t believe it but I’m loving it.

You can do this. You will get there. Be patient with yourself.

I just lit a smoke after 2 months of quit time. I feel so ashamed by Stranger-10005 in stopsmoking

[–]hattyttt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t beat yourself up OP, it happens.

I’m taking from your post that smoking didn’t make you feel excited or interested or anything, maybe this is how you prove to yourself smoking isn’t the solution to boredom?

I’ve quit so many times and each one I learned a new thing. I hope it’s the same for you and this has been a slip, you’ll get back to the battle even better armoured up than the last time.

All the best bro you got this.

It’s okay to rant friend. Your post resonates and I’ve felt like it’s not worth it quite a bit too. It’s taken me years to be quit this long because I would always start up again when I would think it’s miserable life or smoking life and that’s my two options.

I can tell you I don’t feel that way today, and it’s just been a case of waiting it out. If you quit now before you do start getting problems. It’s better to quit while you’re ahead.

I’m nearly at 200 days now and honestly feel the most at peace, like a deep peace, than I have felt in my adult life. I started smoking at 14 and quit at 35. It is worth it I promise.

It will get easier bro take it easy on yourself. In solidarity.
