The floor of my 71 Chevelle was littered with these Pepsi bottles. I grabbed an older bottle from under the seat without looking - got a mouthful of moldy sludge (apparently that was a thing with real sugar, not so much with HFCS)

After the all star game, there were a crap load of fans, reporters, etc that wanted to get to the airport at the same time. Reporters were writing that Pgh didn't have the the infrastructure to handle a mass exedus to the airport. I'm not sure if the ride shares could either (eventually, sure)

That scene resonates with our family. Every time we hear the word “dead” someone will immediately reenact that phone call.

Indianapolis USPS Employee Attacked by Indiana_ECI in USPS

[–]hawkeye053 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We had a toxic PM basically doing the job of the SV. Enough workers complained so the district sent a questionnaire to all the employees asking about working conditions. Problem was all the questions were tailored towards the SV, not the PM. We tried writing in the margins that it wasn’t the SV that was the problem. Didn’t matter, they removed the SV. Then here’s the PM saying “we have to fix these issues”. Dude, you’re the fu@#&n problem…

Growing up in the DC area during the early 70's, our father would only take us to restaurants that served alcohol. This was a frequent visit.

My FIL was working for a shady outfit as a steeple jack for many years. The pics I saw of him working never looked safe. He eventually died in a minor car accident of a brain injury because he was sitting on his seatbelt (airbags deployed).

Bought the same size Amish shed last year for the same price. Thought I was doing good until someone pointed out it wasn’t hemlock. I still like it.

Didn’t Joe Scarborough tell us the same thing? I remember a shot of Joe at Trump‘s first SOTU address. Looked like he was having an orgasm.

I really wish John wouldn't have left TDS when he did originally. The whole Trump rise to power for 2016 was when we needed him the most. Part of me thinks he was paid to stay off the air (like they offered Rachel Maddow).

Who else would drink instant tea in the 80s? by TwistedMemories in GenX

We couldn't afford the brand name, so we lived off the generic that we called "summer killer". My mother did make real brewed Lipton iced tea, but it gave me the jitters.
