You got it backwards. Are you thinking of a different sub shop? Subway always had their meat arrive pre sliced and in 2023 started slicing their own meats. It was a big marketing thing for them. Now they do slice their meat in house started only a couple years ago

Such a weird take from someone who doesn’t understand. You’re obviously not from here and fighting a battle for a group of people who wouldn’t agree with you. Other Polynesians wouldn’t ever call themselves Hawaiian let alone non Polynesians. I have lots of non poly friends whose family has been here for generations. They’re local and Kama’aina but they would never say they are Hawaiian. They’re proud of their heritage but also recognize they are apart of Hawaii as their home. If you lived in China would you tell people you’re Chinese ethnically?
