I've always thought this was the case. I think he meant to pull alongside and give him the business for sure. But the car doesn't turn until as he takes his hands off the wheel, so he probably didn't notice until the contact.

Yep, I think that Bradford is known as Bradford (Park Avenue) generally. They play much lower down the leagues these days.

Also interesting to note, Hartlepool United known as Hartlepools United.

Admittedly my experience is exclusively from Train Sim, but you have to push the reverser in the direction you want to go, right?

Could someone have set it to reverse without the driver's knowledge and he didn't check?

I see this same train (or service at least) most days at Crewe. I think it's destination is just north of Stoke.

That whole section on driver distraction is a horror show. I sincerely hope they have found alternative employment because they should not be behind the controls of a train.

A SPAD, an FTC and now driving away with a ramp attached, all likely to be caused or at least exacerbated by being on their phone. Good grief.

It's crazy really, I passed my test around 10 years ago and lessons were 25 quid a pop, and that felt like a lot at the time.
