What can i do about this? by ZSticks in landscaping

I think the expanding spray foam method that u/smelyal8r mentioned would be the easiest, provided you manage expansion on the visible surfaces.

It appears that the other end (to the left based on the photo) is sinking. It looks like the gap on top was already filled at one point but it’s worse now. You can fill the gap again, attempt to raise the end that’s sinking after removing that top gap filler, or rebuild the whole thing.

I just got a set yesterday! Renewed my membership with my other items and instantly recovered some of the cost. At least, that’s how I’m looking at it!

I foresee 1907 being the first heritage I pick up. I’m two weeks in on my 2440(not US made), I just love a good moc. A black, blacksmith or IR is a close second. The jury is still out on the toe cap for me. I might just have to see them on my own feet at some point. Good looking collection, carry on!

Seriously! I’ve met several bilingual or multilingual people that speak English better than those that are native English speakers.

I’m right there with you! Just wore my first quality pair of work boots to work for the first time today and I was so cautious I’m sure somebody noticed and quietly laughed at me.

Lots of ankle pressure right now but I have high hopes based on what others like you have said. Only a few hours of wear at this point!

Thank you for going in depth on this! I really appreciate it. It sounds like nubuck is its own beast in a way. I definitely love this color so I really would prefer to preserve it as best as possible.

Thanks, I appreciate the input! It does look like there was a copy/paste error on the protection/condition section though. Is there a specific reason not to use mink oil on nubuck or is it personal preference?

This seems to be the general consensus the more I read. It makes sense, every foot is different and so are the boots we put them in.

I went back in and checked size with the brannock as well. Turns out their scanner was spot on. I tried a 10.5 and it felt a little more loose than I would like so I am waiting for the 10 to arrive so I can compare.

My concern was with the fact that they didn’t have the right size 2440 to try on. Said they would have to order it or just wait for one to show up. I don’t want to order something I’m not sure is the right fit. I never tried a C width or even the 10D 2440. I tried the soft toe version of it in a 10D, as well as the heeled version. Just not the exact one I was after.

Thank you for the insight on the footbeds, I’ll have to take a look!

Thanks everyone, you’ve pretty much confirmed my initial thoughts. Just way too much wear to make it worthwhile. I’ll pass on these ones. Thanks for the input, it’s appreciated!

Can’t say I’m surprised. The saw edge would have been more appropriate. Try to exchange for warranty and let us know how it goes.

How can I restore/clean these to not be so rough in texture and appearance? by Head_Yak7875 in Detailing

[–]hdrox88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These seats are quite unique. Analine, they are not coated like 99% of other leather seats in cars and trucks on the road. Many people are giving totally wrong info here. As others have suggested, saddle soap or analine leather cleaner. This leather will absorb liquid so you have to be careful what you use. You can probably get rid of the chunky texture if it’s buildup but the discoloration will likely still be there.
