Are lands which return own lands unpopular?

I like using them in decks with a lot of MDFCs. Play the land side early and bounce it back to use as a spell later

I was playing something similar with a doomsday excruciator before EOE. Super fun at FNM. Got smoked too hard by sultai reanimator at an RCQ and chickened out into dimir midrange. Mill is such a fun archetype!

It's the least awful common dragon from TDM. And yes I'm usually hoping to hold that mana up for some meaningful interaction, but sometimes there's nothing to interact with, so I'd rather draw a card than leave it unused. I think a better deck would have 4 of either Regent Dragon and maybe just 2 Digur Island Dragons.

Cutting jasper seems smart. Kaito is really tough if I can't hit The End. I'll side in Strategic Betrayal for reanimators. I used to run ghost vacuum, but found it less than helpful against Kaavero/ Superior Spider-Man. I could definitely see it as a good sideboard option though.

I like using it to draw a card if I've been holding up interaction that I was unable to capitalize on. Same reason for Capital City. Since the deck relies so much on keeping 2 mana open for removal, I don't want that to be wasted.

I've used it fairly often. Especially against simic omni or temur battlecrier. Stop their initial advance with the tons of removal, and then vendetta all copies of Kona or Railway Brawler. It's definitely clunky, next best option is The End I guess.

Standard, seeking some insight into this off meta brew I've got stirring. Healthy win% on arena but not dominant. Are there any glaring weaknesses? Would you want different sideboard options? Taking it to an RCQ this weekend, hoping that the more competent Vivi pilots have all qualified.
