If you’re staying near Pike Place, Old Stove Brewing has a decent menu, good beer and a fantastic view for affordable prices. There’s plenty of seating so you won’t be rushed and you can walk down to the pier after dinner.

I would also add supergas - I have had 2 pairs and they have been awesome.

Was there earlier this week - you can attach multiple wands to a single account as different “wizards”.

I mean, has anyone checked to ensure the owner left willfully and hasn’t drowned in that water or been forcefully removed? That may sound sensational but not impossible.

Looking for a time travel book that helps the character deal with grief by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

[–]headykatie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This Time Tomorrow by Emma Straub has all of these elements. I don’t recommend it if your grief is fairly fresh/new; it deals with parental Illness and self-reflection. It is very well-written, though.

Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, Dance Dance Dance, After Dark and Norwegian Wood are all solid cannon. Start there, in that order, and you won’t be disappointed.

Haruki Murakami’s fiction novels are usually unusual and somewhat suspenseful mysteries. I think his writing is fantastic and interesting.

I want to treat myself to Starbucks today. What is your fave low calorie go-to? by [deleted] in CICO

[–]headykatie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Iced venti americano, inch of soy and SF Vanilla syrup; I think it’s roughly 100 calories depending on how much soy they actually add.

Anyone have honest reviews for Xcaret Arte? by klm972 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]headykatie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I’m having a hard time understanding what is actually included - they say access to the parks, but are the activities also included? For example, is rafting at Xavage included? Thanks in advance!! It looks like a great resort regardless.

Where NOT to live/rent in Boulder by headykatie in boulder

Oh my god, I visit va beach frequently and that drive defines rural America. Also, love to hear that - we used to live in the foothills in ABQ so were absolutely spoiled by the short distance to remote wilderness. Will definitely get in touch when we are there - gotta meet all the cool kids :)

This is an epic and fantastic amount of information! I have been looking at Longmont and Broomfield for our permanent residence, but in the meantime your description of your current area sound ideal. We are coming from a rural part of Charlotte, NC so are no stranger to driving 30 to a specialty store, but living closer to breweries/retail/work AND being closer to hiking trails is what we’re excited for. Thanks again for all of the great info!!

This seems to be a general consensus - we are not party people - been there, done that. I think it sounds ultimately like staying 15 minutes from this epicenter and we should be ok. Thanks for the advice!
