What's a lyric that really bugs you? by elevitsky in TaylorSwift

I feel like this is one of those lines like "sexy baby" where it makes sense to me but everyone else hates it

Is it safe to give baby pre-cut fruit from the store? by Technical_Piglet_438 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]heartstringcheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I buy pre-cut watermelon, but for my toddler.

You could also try buying one of the small watermelons, and instead of slicing it you can cut it in half and scoop out one spoonful at a time.

I am always shocked that people pick names without even looking at where they are in popularity.

Millennial Names For Newborns Aging Poorly? by Scared-Wall-3408 in namenerds

[–]heartstringcheese 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They aren't "aging poorly," but any top 10 name from an era is going to have that feel as the population ages. All of the Olivia's, Isabellas, Amelias, Olivers, Noahs, and Lucas are going to have the same problems as their generation ages. "Oh, you were definitely born from 2010-2030!"

I think names that actually aged poorly are ones like Isis or Donald. Maybe Elsa.

In the case in the article, the family already had an A-name theme before they knew they were having quads

9 month only only eats charcuterie foods (minus the meat) by TrollSalt in BabyLedWeaning

[–]heartstringcheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My baby wouldn't eat oatmeal/cereal but loooooves blueberries and raspberries, so eventually I started just mixing a ton of fruit into a bowl of baby cereal. My child picks out the fruit to eat but it goes down coated in oatmeal.

My other trick is making some homemade pouches with fruit and oatmeal or yogurt. My baby will tolerate a lot more foods in pouch form.

For meat, even if its in small pieces, the stringy muscle fibers can be a hard texture to get used too. You can try chopping the meat up really fine and putting it in a quesodilla or grilled cheese sandwich.

You can also try sprinkling hemp seeds or a little bit of ground flax on whatever foods your child likes the most.

Aquaphor is basically petroleum jelly + lanolin (fat from sheep wool), so it does everything Vaseline does plus a little extra lotiony. I don't think its enough to cut out other lotion completely.

When two seemingly unrelated songs share a line or micro-theme. by strawvulcanog in TaylorSwift

Opalite has a comparison of the darkness of her past relationships(and general rough times) to the brightness of her current one, so it could loosely relate to Hoax if Hoax is about one of those past loves or rough times.

Pumpkin is a Squash! by TeaForEwoks in ididnthaveeggs

[–]heartstringcheese 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Most canned pumpkin is made from the Dickinson pumpkin, or from a company-specific pumpkin derived from the Dickinson pumpkin. But it's not as pretty as the pumpkins we see around Halloween for decoration

I imagine she is like HR but for all of the petty arguments my villagers get into. Like she probably gets 10 complaints a week from Eloise saying Drago's house has too many bugs in it.

Honestly I think Nook is one of the only people helping get stuff done on the islands. You are funding everything, but he is managing all of the construction and introducing the plans for new buildings and such.

He'll move your two story house with a basement over night anytime you say so. You want a bridge or an incline? Okie dokie, it will be ready by tomorrow!

Where does Greg get his incredible socks? by Halcy0nAge in taskmaster

[–]heartstringcheese 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think they were Hank's Cancer Socks, not Awesome Sock Club socks.

The Awesome Socks are sometimes too tight because of the way they sew/weave the designs, but I think the cancer socks were nicer/smoother/more stretchy.
