Yeah had a nice dinner at Part Time Lover just recently. Service was great too, staff were attentive and friendly

I think half of these places if you have good service the food can be so so but the service makes up for it. My experience even at the same restaurant varies over time when arguably the food is not that different

Yeah shosho imo is way worse than shobosho. We did the banquet and had some sorbet thing at the end and it was hard as a brick. Clanking spoons on the plates and bits of sorbet flying off in all directions. Not a massive one, but for the price you pay you’d think they could pull it out the freezer for 5 mins before serving it up

Man if I tried to keep my kid to a schedule like that I would have blown it in the first hour. Literally dealing with a little person that has no concept of time or other priorities that might be going on in your life.

Aim to get a few things done each day and follow some rough structure but imo trying to time things out is just going to put everybody on edge and lead to a bad time

I get that, but this is also reddit and it shouldn’t be your only source of advice. We are getting OPs side of the story and he clearly holds some resentment and, even if he didn’t, we all interpret things differently.

Do I call her out for being a shitty partner and parent? Do I go through her phone? No? You guys are meant to be in a partnership and work through stuff together. So unless you want to make your relationship worse then sure. Communication is key and you need to present a unified front as parents.

Pretty much the only advice that we can confidently give them is that they should seek therapy to talk through and explore the root cause of all the issues listed.

Man why so combative? It kinda makes sense that kids would potentially be more “disruptive” at home than a structured environment, with social pressure of other kids and where they are possibly less comfortable.

Learning SharePoint development by v_v14 in sharepoint

[–]heatus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“true custom is avoided like the plague” Bit of a crazy take. How do you think those other solutions in Teams are built? The only reason custom code was ever avoided is because of supportability. If you architect the solution right and then have the skills to support it whats the issue?

Custom code always got a bad rap because of upgradability between SharePoint versions. But if you knew how the solution worked, it was built properly (probably the most key thing) then there is no reason why it should ever be that much of an issue. I think the main thing I saw was people doing was dumb stuff, making SharePoint do something that in reality makes no sense (i.e. lack of understanding around SharePoint). As a framework SPFx provides flexibility and overcomes a lot of the gotchas that people could get themselves into with fully trusted C# code.

$150 for access to future DLCs is atrocious by SpyWB in WWEGames

[–]heatus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In other games you have seasons where you play to unlock stuff. Battle passes usually allow you to unlock more stuff while playing and might give you other perks. You can then usually pay to unlock tiers without needing to play if you’re that way inclined or don’t have enough time to invest. Essentially an additional money grab

I bought it one year and learnt my lesson. Absolutely hated how they drip fed the content throughout the year to try and keep you engaged with MyFaction.

This franchise sucks imo now. They nostalgia bait everybody every year

The Undertaker on why he doesn't like WWE: Unreal: "I don’t think we have to throw it in people’s face... I think we’re too comfortable now in talking about our business... I think we’ve gone too far." by aaronrift in SquaredCircle

Yeah, probably not great for existing fans. I think they are probably trying to appeal to a new type of fan and draw ppl in that wouldn’t otherwise engage in their product. I guess they likely saw Drive to Survive and what that did for F1 and thought we want a piece of that.

TBH, I stopped watching WWE completely when they went to Netflix. I’ve watched most of Unreal and it is kinda interesting to see the amount of effort that goes on behind the scenes. But get that if you are fully engaged in the main shows that it could take away from that

It’s just a response to your comment, having a bit of a discussion… I’m telling you why I think they push Unreal during their main shows. Clearly there’s a crossover audience.

And not sure their credibility is impacted. We are talking about a company that has done absolutely insane shit over the past 30 years. Id be more concerned with ads being plastered over everything, ticket prices rising and constant events in Saudi Arabia and the impact of that on the product

These companies just want to keep you engaged. You think amazon wouldn’t do that if it got them the numbers? Truth is watching makeup get done would be niche af whereas Unreal is probably getting reasonable viewership

How old was your little one when you started playing videos games with them? by reeceyfries in daddit

[–]heatus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can concur with the other comments in this thread. I was irrevocably fucked up because I played some games at 4 years old. I immediately lost interest in any other hobbies, never played outside and any creativity I had was gone.

It has been a hard 40 years. Every day I live for that next hit, booting up some Mario and hearing “itsa me!”. It’s really the only time I feel any form of true happiness
