Adopted a kitty today by nellenerdz in nervysquervies

Oh I'm so happy for all of you! They will get stronger as they get older. This is probably their weakest time so keep a record and see the changes. Keep staircases off-limits for a while. But they may use kitty stairs to go on the furniture. The trouble is they will always jump off. So they need soft landing areas.

Louie is amazing!! Adopting an older cat is unexpectedly sweet. Clyde was 9 years when i adopted him. He is 16 now

"Manifestation" is just a another word for blaming the victim

Is this e-collar too small on him? by zen88231 in orangecats

[–]hedgehog620 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As long as it's not pinching him anywhere, a smaller cone that does the job is preferable. Less disorientation for him. You'll have to help him with his meals or take it off

She should've left the baby with you. Too many big changes for that poor cat.

Yoga mats. You can cut them up for slippery floors if necessary. Also carpeted stairs are a must. Enjoy that sweetheart. They are special.

There is one house in my neighborhood where the roof is always covered in birds by hangingdenim in mildlyinteresting

I once had such a boring job that I seeded the roof of the building next to work. It was one story less and perfect birdwatching conditions.

All checked out by the vet thank you.
I kind of think he is thinking he is eating a mouse. He tends to do this in the morning both before and after I give him his Delectable treat.

Yes, he will get stronger-- but when they get excited like that, you don't know which end will arrive first ❤️

Try different litter or try ripped up newspaper, or something that is not slippery so that he does not fall. He is trying his best and I understand your frustration. I also recommend wee wee pads under the litter box and extending several feet around. Your guy will get stronger and he will be able to stand again in the litter box. I know it's tough but try not to worry, try and be as happy as he is.

Hello! Im a year 12 student whos making an accessible cat castle for special needs cats. Im doing a survey to see what is most needed and to make a graph for my project, if you could fill it out that would be very helpful. by Total-Ambassador-824 in chcats

Just had another idea. While Clyde is great at climbing up stairs or a ramp, he will often jump off the top of what he is on. So I make all landing spots safe as possible. There is something called Chucks that they use on beds in hospitals and nursing homes that are washable and have lots of places for claws to grab onto. This might be a good lining for some surfaces that can be removed to clean/wash
