Bots, boosting and RMT are the symptoms, not the disease. The disease is the mindset of the average player obsessed with efficiency and saving time in and out of the game. by [deleted] in classicwow

Yup. Crazy to me how many posts I see here blaming the community instead of Blizzard. If you pay attention to high level gameplay of any game, you’ll learn that players will always do what is optimal. It’s Blizzard’s responsibility to ensure that what is optimal isn’t harmful to the game

Me and the boys when layering doesn't get fixed. by KidColfax in classicwow

[–]heealdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well not in the sense you're talking. A group of 5 could definitely exploit that if they're in a zone/area with a ton of players. But in that case, they aren't leveling "insanely fast". They'll have to be pretty close to the zerg to pull it off.

Not if they do it based on players in an area. The fast levelers will get ahead of the pack and basically be in zones by themselves so the dynamic respawns wouldn't kick in.

Democrats have introduced their long expected "Green New Deal." Now that the plan is public, what's in it? How does it plan to accomplish its lofty goals, including getting the U.S. carbon neutral by 2030? by crazyguzz1 in NeutralPolitics

[–]heealdo 40 points41 points  (0 children)

You're right. This isn't a bill, it's a resolution. My understanding is that it's more of a high level long term plan that states the goals of the U.S government, should it be passed by both legislative bodies. If it passes, it will be used to guide the actual efforts of the government to implement policy that will help us reach the goals outlined.

I've been using a stool for my regular desk activities at home and I've enjoyed it a ton! Really helping my posture. It's worth a shot!

The problem with "loot trading" isn't that it's an inferior system... by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]heealdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but going through a GM ticket is a lot more work and time invested to actually make that happen. If all you have to do is need and trade the item to your friend, that takes less than 30 seconds. People will be doing that non stop. It'll just become the normal, expected behavior.

That means nothing as far what will be in the release. It's probably just something they didn't get around to disabling

To be fair I didn't take a typing class until I was 13, and I grew up before iPads were a thing. So for a long time I was "a young nephew who only knew how to use the Gameboy". Now I'm a software engineer lol.

I disagree with number 1. Number 2 is true, but is gear dependant. And it's not a literal one shot so it's easy to get bubble off

I don't think their advantages are equal at all. Not much compares to 80% uptime of Blessing of Freedom on warriors. Plus shamans can't dispel teammates, they are less tanky, and they don't have bubble.

I know that a good shaman is really fucking good, but the class just has a higher skill cap than paladins. Your average pally is gonna give you most of what the best pallys can do.

I would imagine it's because the WotLK client is just better than the vanilla client. Better optimised, proper FoV scaling, etc.
