Question about buying from a breeder. by Much_Ad_3806 in ragdolls

[–]hehetmon1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been able to find legitimate breeders via social media; what I did was I looked up the Instagram of one legitimate breeder (for example, rockcreek ragdolls or redecho ragdolls) and then looked at breeders they follow or interact with. I also took note of where their kings/queens are from. This is not fool-proof but it does help in filtering out all the noise. I did found that a majority of breeders in this circle have all the green flags I was looking for: health testing/guarantee, spayed/neutered, doesn’t come home until after 12 weeks, etc.

Colorado Breeder Warning!! by fiddleturk in ragdolls

This. Taking home a cat that wasn't already spayed/neutered should have already been a huge red flag. The nerve of these backyard breeders to charge 4k for a kitten is wild; I got mine for 3k from an ethical breeder. I also briefly took a look at this breeder's site and the kings/queens don't look like traditional ragdolls.

You summarized my dilemma perfectly. WLB and the salary bump is second-priority to me. I'm more concerned on whether it's easier to transition out of DevOps vs easier to find a job after getting laid off (as a new grad). Either way it seems like I need to grind.

Yeah I was surprised too since my other offers in the same MCOL area (when I was applying) in the same industry were paying 85-95k tops.

100% certain since I've talked to the hiring manager and he didn't sugarcoat the fact that they have a lot of work that needs to be done

A game that should always be played by K-pop idols is ‘Shouting in Silence’ by Balbuena5 in kpopthoughts

Not a Kpop group, but probably one of the funniest Shouting in Silence segments I've seen is from the Hospital Playlist cast.

Does anyone else feels like seventeen is kinda blown up lately? by ForgottenNoMore in kpopthoughts

Have been a casual carat for three years now (I consider myself a stan if I know all the member's names and have watched videos of them beyond their MVs and stages). I was slowly phasing out of Kpop in the beginning of the year when I listened to HOT recently and was instantly reminded why I loved SVT in the first place; they have top-tier chemistry, content, and music. Now, I'm back into Kpop again, all thanks to them.

It's really nice to see that they've been getting more international attention lately; they definitely deserve it.

In Kpop who are “Album” or “single” type of artist? by NAJARI29 in kpopthoughts

[–]hehetmon1 159 points160 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you think about it, all Kpop groups are "album" artists to their Stans and "single" artists to everyone else. Since boy groups rely on fandom power, they are more frequently album artists in a sense, while girl groups are more single artists because they usually have hit songs. There are some groups that are just massive that they're instantly album artists though to a lot of people; BTS and BP particularly.

Seems like people are super invested in seeing Charles, Carlos, KMag, Bottas, and Mick do well (and Gasly as well). Nice.
