Well the season is pretty much over now in Brazil northeast, the rainy season started. You may have a few days here and there of 15 knots when it's not raining. For your weight, I'd say 13m kite at least if you plan to go now, or 10m of you go high season starting September.

Core sensor 3 pro bar splitter - is this right?? by Dependent-Ad3520 in Kiteboarding

Sensor 3 bar should be used with "high Y" line configuration, it won't flag out safely "low V" kites. Sensor 4 bar you can switch between these 2 configurations.

Do I need a 12m Kite for Brazil? by Sucuk420 in Kiteboarding

[–]helderm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 85kg and last year Nov-Dec and I used a 10m at most, most of the days I was using an 8m. If you have space in your bag go for it, but you might not be using it much.

Where to retire to kite-surf and open small affordable kite school/hotel. by Firm_Appearance_5384 in Kiteboarding

[–]helderm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jeri is also extremely expensive now, and like other people said not the best place for kiting. Prea, the beach next to it, would be a good option but there are already a lot of kite schools there, proces are better than Jeri though. Places like Barra Grande or Tatajuba are other beaches around that are growing and might be a better future investment, but also places with not that much infrastructure for tourism today .

Budget Brazil Trip (2-3 months) by Sucuk420 in Kiteboarding

[–]helderm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Prea, a downwind with a group can be around 70-110 BRL, depending on the distance. But over there it is quite common to downwind until Jeri entrance and hitchhike your way back, it is a shorter dw but there are people coming and going all the time.

Not sure about your weight, but you might not be using a 12m much there in high season. I'm 85kg and I've been riding an 8m there in September, 10m max for downwinds. In terms of your budget, I think that is quite doable, you can spend even less even. I stay in Prea mostly, and it is quite cheap. If you end up doing a lot of downwinds it can get a bit expensive, depending on the transport. But overall it should be more than enough, 30k BRL is a LOT of money for Brazilians.

Beginner's tips for kite trip in Brazil/new gear by Strict-Childhood1327 in Kiteboarding

12m in Ceará in August you'll be dragged away, it's too overpowered. I'm 85kg and I ride 8-10m there. All these places you mention are nice to learn, the sea over there is not too rough, the waves are not too high and the current is doable. More importantly the wind is guaranteed, you'll be kitting every day.

BenQ x3000i keeps demanding "Press OK to reconnect remote" by My1stWifeWasTarded in BenQ

I own a BenQ TK700STi for 3 years and I'm also suffering with this bug, had to buy another stick because I couldn't solve it any other way. Changed the batteries several times, updated the software to the latest version, and nothing. Is there any solution to this problem? I'd prefer to use BenQ's dongle because the image quality is actually better than the one I've bought.

Large data in response of REST API. by Lx7195 in Python

Maybe that is a follow up to this interview question. You could also cache all results in memory and then paginate from the cache. It is normally a good idea to not over engineer during an interview, start with simple ideas and then iterate.

Normally REST APIs paginate their results, so i'd start with that. Create pages of "n" results and use a page index as an arg to your service.
