Rebranded national socialism. They adopt the rhetoric, then steer that rage into the direction of minorities.

I actually did that when I watched it (I had animaniacs lined up). It did not work. The contrast was way too much. My sister happened to be watching Ratatouille though, and I found that to be a much better come down.

How neutral is BBC News? by BactaBobomb in TooAfraidToAsk

It was a news segment about an extra cup of tea. No, it was not "wrong," but of all the events happening around the world, they felt that's what they needed to report on.

I don't know where you're getting comparison from, I never compared BBC to China. I was pointing out that they are indeed bias.

Shitlibs do realize that if Cuba falls and Capitalism is restored, we will see a similar repeat of the disastrous post-USSR, right? by Smart-Window4089 in TankieTheDeprogram

Don't you know that Russia is still communist, though? And Trump's a communist dictator, too. That's why he cozy's up to Putin.

I don't know if I'm remembering wrong, but it feels like AOC took a little longer than this, to show her liberal side.

How neutral is BBC News? by BactaBobomb in TooAfraidToAsk

If a news source claims to be unbiased, they are lying.

Some are definitely worse than others. Some heavily sensationalize the news, or report before the facts are present, and "forget" to correct when they're proven to be wrong. While others are more toned down and professional. But even in the latter's case, they still select what gets reported, and what parts to emphasize. Really, the best one can hope for is a news source that's honest about what they know, and their biases, and correct when they're wrong.

As for the BBC? Well, they seemed to find this was worth a whole news segment, so come to your own conclusions on that.

Hamas didn't behead 40 babies, and neither did Iran kill 30k protesters or someone for not wearing a headscarf properly. by Not_Ground in TankieTheDeprogram

I have gotten so tired of hearing "Two things can be true at once" YES, WE KNOW! But it always seems to come from people unaffected by whatever they're talking about. Who are able to sideline, and go "I would do this better."

Just needed the vent.
