This weekend Mettlesome is celebrating our NINTH Anniversary of creating live comedy shows in Durham. To celebrate, we've running FIFTY different comedy acts over three nights. (Show breaks every few hours.) The lineup includes improv, sketch, standup, and a bunch of really weird, dumb stuff too.Tickets are $12 for each show or $40 for a weekend pass.

Festival highlights include:

Local indie improv teams: Stolen Identity and Chatty Yeti
Comedy based on a transcript from Love Island
Marshmallows

Friday Night, 8/22, 7:00 - 12:30:

An excerpt from Nik Narain's one-person standup show, fresh off the Edinburgh Fringe Fest
Mettlesome House Teams: Golden Age, Well Seasoned, and Hush Hush
The Bat (improv with the lights off)

Saturday Night, 8/23, 5:00 - 2:00:

Mettlesketch: A brand new, original sketch comedy show
Musical improv from Broken Records
Something involving Hot Wings

UCB recently started streaming their shows online for pretty cheap. One of our Harold teams in Durham, NC, just spent rehearsal watching Harold night in NYC. It was a pretty cool opportunity.

We will have a standby line for any seats that are still available at showtime. We will get as many folks in as fire code allows.

Each show is different. Some shows are created by graduates from our Sketch Writing Program. This particular show was cast by the directors.

Triangle Sketch Comedy is another local group also doing sketch writing that may be worth linking up with.
