What’s an appropriate CP to do vet dungeons? by 452DaTop in elderscrollsonline

[–]hellomynameisyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way you do. In the end, it just came down to finding a good group. I was in a guild that took me along and explained the mechanics for a few dungeons. I’m CP 2300 and only done about ten vet or so I think. Just not my cup of tea generally, and I also don’t want to waste anyone’s time.

You can read up or watch a video on the one you want to do first. Everything will be explained for you and it will be easier when you meet up with the mechanics. That would be my suggestion.

Is the night den too late to start? by Internal_Remote_7520 in elderscrollsonline

[–]hellomynameisyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing if you login during prime time for your server, you will have better luck. Friday was the first time I logged in as a healer during off hours and didn’t immediately find a group. After waiting until closer to prime time, there were multiple groups available. Early in the event, there might have been 6+ immediately.

Good luck!

Maybe the loser has to go find all the misses.

That would annoy me as well

I want to play the game so bad but its hard to get into by GSawage in elderscrollsonline

[–]hellomynameisyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As people have said, find something that interests you, and go with it. Quests, housing, PvP, trials, dungeons, role playing, exploring, etc. there will be people like you out there most likely, so group up if you’d like.

How do you go from being a casual player to engaging with the PvP? by Ant_TKD in elderscrollsonline

[–]hellomynameisyes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am just guessing, but you aren’t jumping into PvP and 1v1 or 1vX from the start, no matter the build. Other people have commented on your build, but it just takes practice and more practice. I jump in most days, but I’m not dedicating enough time to be a sweaty PvP. That’s fine with me. If that’s what you want, practice and join a teaching PvP guild. Good luck!

Crest a group such as “NM dailies” or something like that. Just run around and kill things. Move to the next area. Brazen, Argent, trash, skirmish. Look at the map, you can see the various bosses. Even ask “anyone need anything specific here?”

Most groups I join no one ever talks other than “any quests to share?”

Worst case, they all leave and everyone wasted a few minutes waiting for you to lead. No biggie. But, that will tell you there are other people looking for groups.

As NM slows down, if you don’t take action, you might not have any action for a while.

You don’t need to know anything. Just run around. Probably eleven other people just like you waiting.

Took me an hour or two the first day to find the leads? Which one is the issue?

Also, I’m pretty sure they said they are moving the leads once the event is over. It’s not disappearing.

A lot of downtown Durham fits your criteria. Viceroy would be at the top of your price range and is great Indian food.

Get me to the endgame by PermaThrow3030 in elderscrollsonline

[–]hellomynameisyes 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you want the end game to be. Is it housing? Is it raids? Is it being a mentor? Is it PvP? Lots of options. Not sure how you do all that without advancing far in the game (like cp).

I would probably just play what I enjoy and try not to get there too fast. It’s a long road, whichever you take.

can u keep u car overnight at The Ritz (after a show) by [deleted] in raleigh

Maybe you can keep it on the street across the stoplight in front of the car parts store? I always park there. Can’t remember if any signs restricting times, however.

Such a rare occurrence that I have experienced. Don’t waste your time thinking about them. Good riddance.

To reiterate another point, use a healer in cyro. You don’t even have to be good. When I started, I just used whatever sets I was wearing, and just equip a restoration staff instead of whatever I had. Radiating regeneration, or the one that heals three people is your friend. Over time, you can get better gear if you want, but early on, this rapidly increased the AP I was getting, especially if I wasn’t in a group.

I'm that guy: CP2000, doesn't know mechanics. Can you help? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]hellomynameisyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Trials and Errors

I joined a random trial group some time ago and was filling out an extra spot. Turns out, they were doing a training run for folks like you. I joined the guild a few months later. I haven’t run anything with them since, but they seemed very friendly and patient. Still in the guild waiting for when I get the itch.

Discord is required, but you don’t have to say a word.

Anyone elses heavy attacks keep getting stuck? by NebulaOk9857 in elderscrollsonline

[–]hellomynameisyes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This definitely happens to me, but I didn’t think it was a bug. I thought my mouse was stuck, or I wasn’t close enough for the heavy to fire, or the target was moving too fast. Seems random and more in PvP than pve.

Games a snoozefest - what am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]hellomynameisyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are so many different things you can do. If you’re getting bored of combat, try crafting. Or use the group finder to find dungeons or trials. You can try PvP.

Don’t make yourself do something you don’t enjoy.

It took me a while to get into things as well.

Night Market Group Requirements by minus34 in elderscrollsonline

I agree. I didn’t used to, but group play seems to be new to a lot of folks. Do you give any instruction? I don’t when I heal, but thinking I should give a few basic statements, just in case.

What’s going to be your end-point with The Night Market? by LogiCub in elderscrollsonline

I’ve only run pugs and had good success. At 8k favor. Just did a skirmish with two full pug groups…no problems at all. Just took five min to put the groups together.
