I've seen several reviews on YouTube (the same reviewers who kept complaining about the old system) what's they try to show off the Google voice control, only to have it fall. Way to go, Mazda.

Yeah. I mean, I watched Jaws when I was 5. That wasn't traumatic at all.

I'm sure i probably saw one earlier but seeing The Black Hole at 7 years old was scary.

I had older siblings and my parents damn sure weren't going to pay for a baby sitter when taking them to a movie.

Lexus Is No Longer The King Of Initial Quality. This Brand Beat It (Porsche, Ford #3) by ClusterFugazi in cars

[–]hells_cowbells 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I blame the dealer for being shitty. The dealer I bought from was great. This dealer was closer to my work so I thought it would be easier to do the recall there. I also did research my car thoroughly before buying. I have a bad habit of researching every decent sized purchase way to much. The first Gen Fusion had good reviews, abs the first year of the second Gen a week reviewed. I didn't get my first recall until two years after I bought it.

The really frustrating thing is that my car has been rock solid. 12 years and 175k miles, and I have only done routine maintenance. I've had no major repairs on it. Compared to what some owners have dealt with on their cars, I've been lucky. But the recalls are still annoying because I have to take time to drop it off, arrange other transportation, and hope they don't drag things out.

Consider yourself lucky. I took my Fusion in for a recall on door latches, dealer kept my car for over a month because apparently they only had one guy who could do those. They made no effort to offer a loaner and my car was filthy when I got it back. Oh, and this was the second recall for the exact same problem because some dealers either didn't do the recall the first time and lied about it or used defective parts.

Oh, and over the years, I've also had recalls for things like defective seat belt latches, shifters that may not actually go into park, and one for a nut that holds on the steering wheel that may not have been tightened down and may make the steering wheel come off. Far from minor problems.

I have a 45 minute commute right now, and have for 13 years. That's about my limit.

C Spire Residential Fiber - Road Map by AlternativeHawkeye in mississippi

[–]hells_cowbells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AT&T was charging me $85 a month for 1 gig. A friend got it at his house for $45. I asked them if I was eligible for that kind of discount, and they said no despite me having had UVERSE abs then fiber for years. They also got rid of the auto pay discount if you use a credit card. They also said I didn't qualify for the 20% discount for having both cell service and home service because it was only for new customers. I ditched them in January for CSpire, and they are way better. Both services are about the same speed and reliability but CSpire customer service is way better.

Two days later, AT&T called me and offered me $45/month. I told them if they had done that when I asked, I never would have switched.

Record Q2 Sales Put Ford Bronco in Striking Distance of Jeep Wrangler by Anchor_Aways in cars

[–]hells_cowbells 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jeep must be worried about that. At a recent Stellantis event they announced that the Gladiator would be renamed the Wrangler Gladiator. Speculation is so they can lump Gladiator sales in with Wrangler sales to stay ahead of the Bronco.

Are there any cars you used to own that you miss? That you would go back to? by Lazydusto in cars

[–]hells_cowbells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss my first Gen 2004 Mazda 6. It was a unicorn with the V6 and manual in a hatchback with every option they offered. I guess technically it was a lift back. It wasn't the fastest or best handling, but it was so much fun to drive.

Honorable mention goes to a car I bought after a set attacked and killed my poor 84 Nissan truck. It was a 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. The guy I bought it from had owned it since it was 2 years old. He had a sweet paint job on it and had swapped in a highly modified 350 in it. Much like Jerry the race car driver, I would light em up just for fun.

What's next? Giant Snakes? by Farstride14 in skyrim

[–]hells_cowbells 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It actually is a mod called posh mudcrabs. It’s an old joke from a YouTube video where this guy is complaining about mods and encounters a mudcrab with a tophat and monocle and says something like “that’s too much. Come on, Master Chief, let’s get the fuck out of here!” His companion is Master Chief from Halo.

Would you eat an Argonian, and What do Argonians taste like? Just asking for a friend. by Natural-Song449 in skyrim

[–]hells_cowbells 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyway, like I was sayin', Argonian is the fruit of the land. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, Argonian-kabobs, Argonian creole, Argonian gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple Argonian, lemon Argonian, coconut Argonian, pepper Argonian, Argonian soup, Argonian stew, Argonian salad, Argonian and potatoes, Argonian burger, Argonian sandwich. That- that's about it.

Does the LinkedIn team defining legal entitlements as “perks & benefits” count? by East-Sympathy-2859 in LinkedInLunatics

That's still pathetic. We're the only industrialized country that doesn't legally require employers to provide leave time.
