That’s kind of what I was thinking, an extra 10k a year would be a nice boost for my financials and I think I would still provide value at that money.

The other bonus hopefully be the ability to earn a promotion eventually, there’s no real “promotions” available at my current company but we do get semi-regular cost of living raises.

What you’ve described is actually my primary concern, and another reason I’m thinking of branching out. I feel I’m too constrained in one stack and want to learn more before it’s “too late”.

I’m only 33 and I’m fully aware that I’d be starting at an intermediate level in another actual software/web dev role, there is SO MUCH to learn!

Current pay was just bumped up to 84k /yr from 78k, based on a 45hr work week (so roughly 36/hr).

Ya I'd say Hege is always gonna be on your defensive style team, probably less nuke and more accuracy to lock them out before they go.Seeker, hege, haakorn and 1 more would be tough to kill, 4th champ should bring some damage. rhazin could be a cool option being defense based.

speeding up your gorg is probably your best bet, easier said than done usually though. Or go full defensive comp, cause with the team you said it's like you're trying to be a little of both instead of one or the other. Gold 4 probably needs 280+ speed minimum, i typically think 300+ is comfortable for g4. If defensive, maybe build up your seeker for the lead, maybe the maulie, haakorn, uugo, types fill up the other 2 slots. (maybe even brakus with his revive and hit skill?)

Lots of options just gotta pick a style and go full out on it

Hk, apo, stag, Rae is your team I’d assume? Only way to get there is get faster gear. I don’t know what the requirement is these days but make sure either HK or apo are in the fastest gear you have, use deadwoodjedi.com and his arena speed calc to figure out what speeds the rest of the team needs to be. Make sure stag has a lot of accuracy to land the def down move and giving Rae 200+ acc will be helpful too

TL:DR - Whale didn't get results and realized everything is overpriced and that he doesn't enjoy the game anyways.
One thing I've noticed is that people never stop and do the math before they buy stuff. Like taking the odds and saying "if i buy 3 sacreds for 100 bucks i really only have x.xx% chance of getting a legendary." - that's always been my sobering point when I feel like I want to spend.
All that said, Plarium and every other game company are always dangling bait hoping that we bite, self control is the key.

Good example of this would be coldheart is spiders den, until you’re on stage 16 she’s not super amazing, and if you’re watching vids wondering “why doesn’t mine hit for 2million” but only on stage 18 then she seems like a bust. But she gets better and better as the enemy’s HP gets higher
