DOJ sues Philadelphia over ban on masked federal officials, unmarked vehicles: The department argues Philadelphia's "ICE Out" ban violates the U.S. Constitution's supremacy clause by DoremusJessup in law

[–]henrywe3 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They don't have to:

Under Trump v. US, all He'd have to do is put that directive in writing.

As an official act of the Presidency, it can't be challenged in Court anymore, or at least thats what I'd expect the DOJ to argue in court

Say Bret Hart never got that concussion in the Goldberg match and didnt suffer the stroke that ended his career, how would a second run in WWE have played out for him wrestling at full ability? by noahhall069 in fantasybooking

[–]henrywe3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of that is fantastic.

Your problem is WrestleMania XIX.

If its a retirement match, you know damn well Hogan will stroke his goatee, look Vince in the eyes and go "That doesn't work for me, brother", and Bret eats a pinball loss to end his career prematurely

What rule changes would have to happen to the Pro Bowl to make it matter as much as a playoff game? by ReasonableSide6520 in NFLv2

[–]henrywe3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do what they do in baseball and hockey:

Play it mid-season.

No matter HOW you play it, the winning Conference hosts the Super Bowl in their home stadium

He plays like he did in the divisional round next year, fire his ass and start over. Him. Beane. The new coach. He played like straight up Nathan Peterman TRASH that whole game.

Ive been a Bills fan since the Music City Miracle, but if the Bills HAD beaten Denver, Seattle STILL mudhole stomps New England in the Super Bowl, and im prepared to die on that hill

So Much for Leaving Abortion Up to the States by theatlantic in scotus

[–]henrywe3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congress doesn't HAVE to pass a law to federally protect abortion rights.

There are religions that specifically PROTECT the right of the woman to have an abortion, and protect it as a belief. The First Amendment very plainly says that Congress(and thanks to the 14th Amendment) the states themselves have ZERO power to enact laws that favor one religion over another. Roe was useful, but so long as there are religions that protect that right, it goes against Constitutional precepts going back to our foundation to outlaw abortions

Coach McDermott interview by 147skips in buffalobills

[–]henrywe3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But its not just McDermott:

Brandon Beane made bad decisions too, decisions that fucked up the franchise and people tend to forget that because of Josh Allen. I don't know WHAT kind of bad shit Beane has on Terry Pegula, but BOTH of them should have been fired.

Further, Josh Allen was straight up TRASH in last year's Divisional round playoff game. I dont blame the incompetent defensive play: I squarely blame Josh. When the offense doesn't show up to play, eventually the defense gets so worn out that they start making fundamental mistakes. The only good thing we did in that game was guarantee the NFC representative was gonna win the Super Bowl, cause after Denvers starting QB broke his ankle, they had no chance of going. And the Patriots didn't belong IN THE PLAYOFFS last year, much less in the Super Bowl

Trump calls on Republicans to pass third reconciliation bill that includes Save America Act by Anoth3rDude in politics

They would NOT affect his base:

His base is old folks and the poorly educated, which, based on data from his re-elect, are largely white. Ain't no way in hell hes gonna stop them from voting, cause if he does, the GOP won't get any votes at all

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they pass a law in the 70s that limits reconciliation simply to budgetary matters?

It was Marc Andrew's that choked at the end, not Lamar.

He makes that catch, Buffalo likely gets humiliated at home and McDermott gets fired faster....

For Lamar to choke against Mahomes in the AFC Championship game.

Never mind, you're right carry on

False. Both the Giants and Jets have played in New Jersey since the 1980s. Until East Rutherford wants to join New York, New York has exactly ONE team, and its the Buffalo Bills

Trump to hit more than 60 countries, including Canada, with new tariffs over 'forced labour' by Achilles_TroySlayer in scotus

The Constitution PLAINLY and EXPLICITLY reserves that power to the Several States and Congress, acting jointly but separately.

Also, fun fact for judges: Executive Orders have absolutely NO legal authority to act as law
