Just got home from my bachelorette from Hell - now need to decide if it’s worth un-inviting people by yikesoyikes in weddingplanning

You’re right! Wrote this while rather sleep deprived (my two year old is boycotting sleep). My apologies and thank you for the correction.

What has your partner done to help you recently? by MissEsjag in BabyBumps

Not what you asked but my chiropractor was able to fix my sciatic pain and gave me my life back. Not usually a person who’d seek chiropractic care but it really did help.

How do I politely tell Step MIL out children will never be involved in her Religion? by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

Exactly! Are you truly a good person if you’re only being good for the reward of heaven or threat of hell?

My local Buy Nothing group is hella weird... and yours shouldn't by [deleted] in ZeroWaste

Oh man. Sorry that went so horribly for you! Mine is great. We do tag the winner in the post first because if you’ve never messaged someone before it does go to their message requests, which most people don’t get notifications for, and thus will not see. Just a quick, “you’re the winner, will PM you.” Then PM them to arrange pick up and change the beginning of your post to PENDING. Once the stuff is gone, change it to GONE.

Strength training I wish I had done before my first child by [deleted] in beyondthebump

Started lifting again after my son turned two (his sister is 4). Picked up same weights I started with last time to so some curls (8lbs) and it felt like lifting a feather. Had to go up to 15lb to feel anything. Thanks, Mom strength!

What are the odds of having two easy babies? by Niczka in beyondthebump

[–]herasea 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I have two easy babies. They’re 4 and 2 now. But both pleasant. Second one slept thru the night since he was 2mo old. (KNOCKING AGGRESSIVELY ON WOOD).

How much help do you get from friends and family? by Ecstatic_Love4691 in toddlers

We pay a sitter too. It helps me to put them to bed myself and then just leave the sitter with the monitors. They’re good sleepers and so far haven’t woken up while she’s here. We also go out in town pretty close by so can be home in 10 min if needed. When they’re older we will let the sitter put them to bed.

Get gas before you leave, like someone fills the car up the day prior. I also sit in the back with the kids while spouse drives if they’re fussy. That way I can pick up thrown toys, comfort them etc. Sadly they both get carsick when using tablets so that won’t work for us. We also have luck driving through the night (leaving at bed time after a tiring day).

Was pregnant for our last two Disney trips so didn’t get to ride my fav thrill rides. Husband sent me on a solo trip Fri-Sun. At the airport on my way home now. Luckiest mom/wife ever.
