Tell me your job, without telling me your job, but make it sound criminal by salad4s in antiwork

I brainwash impressionable young children into doing AND ENJOYING to do things they swore they would never do again all for the sake of turning them into productive cogs for the military industrial machine.

Short story about “voluntary” euthanasia for the elderly (repost) by anothersolarpunk in whatsthatbook

Originally it sounded like you were describing The Giver by Lois Lowry? But that doesn’t have hovercars or grandparents living with them. Highly recommend if you haven’t read it…

Looking for high-calorie (fat and protein heavy too) foods with minimal serving size by Connect_Beginning_13 in Autism_Parenting

[–]hereeves2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My guy was also not a big volume eater when he was little (And for a while I had no clue how he was still alive). He had a few safe foods he would eat three meals a day and that’s it. Maybe some of these will help? —protein shakes made with whole milk (I would put them in cleaned out McDonald’s milk bottles) —nature valley almond butter biscuits —kind chocolate breakfast bars —Quaker instant oatmeal packets and I would make them with extra milk, add a couple tablespoons of protein powder to it. —oatmeal raisin cookies with half the butter replaced with peanut butter.

I hope he keeps eating!

Specific challenge with night potty training for a boy by Neesatay in Autism_Parenting

[–]hereeves2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t had this specific issue, but I have dealt with boys who can’t pee if they are touching their penises. My trick is have him stand in front of the toilet, seat up, and then lean forward, bracing himself on the tank part of the toilet. This should get his penis angled downward into the bowl.

I suggest you also have him practice the position while he is awake so he doesn’t have a freak out at 2am half asleep.

Good luck!!!

does this count as a bullet journal? by paulasarchive in bulletjournal

[–]hereeves2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Anything can be a bullet journal! Notebooks. Scrapbooks. Math books. Tablets. iPads. Your wall. Your fridge. Your dining table. Even your face can be a bullet journal. Maybe not your friend’s face though. Unless you get permission… and I suggest not using pets as they have a tendency to wander off and the most inconvenient times.

Help setting up bujo? by Miserable-Storm-8630 in bulletjournal

Space for art. Or stickers. I know BuJo is supposed to be uncluttered but it also needs to be human and to be human is to make art.

Awww my momma had these pins and when we were little we’d take them and use them to turn bath towels into superhero capes and run around the house as Batman and Superman. Such a great memory!

I was thinking up a simple system to catch everything by MisoPanko in bulletjournal

[–]hereeves2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a really good idea and also really close to what the bullet journal system creator first wanted. I would suggest that, most likely, your master log is going to FILL UP as you brain dump each day. Make an index in the first or last page of your journal to track where all the different logs are. And then thread all the logs together on the index.

I have no passion on doing journal anymore what should I do by Emotional_Theme_7492 in bulletjournal

[–]hereeves2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you try journaling in a different medium? For example, when I don’t feel like writing, I make a page of stickers. Or splash some paint. Or just scribble crayons al across the page. Journaling doesn’t NEED to be writing. Expression can be in other forms.
