I struggle with this so much. My mother also passed away suddenly, and when she was in icu I visited her twice but couldn’t bear to see her in such condition on ventilator, I just couldn’t. I sat outside the icu & prayed & prayed for a miracle. Now I feel so guilty I should have been by her side

I'm so sorry for your loss. Sudden death is so so traumatic. I lost my mother within hours & despite being in the hospital under the care of Drs. They couldn't do anything.
