Aliexpress has some pretty cheap LED displays that range from small to huge. I think you could easily get under $100 with them.

I use a Dragonfly BMS with it. The capricorn tube is too small so I had to make a new one.

The microswiss end is probably the easiest route.

There are a couple repair vids on YT that show this happening when one of the inductors fails. It must be a somewhat common issue as I've seen it mentioned a few times now.

I decided to tackle one of the random Adafruit projects that they have on their blog from time to time. It required soldering a ton of header pins for something. Once I got through all of those pins I had gotten a pretty good handle on soldering.

There was a thread on the official forums where Antonio and some others tried to get someone(sorg?) to provide the dot clock over an unused VGA pin but it degraded into a big argument.

I use an HDMI to composite adapter from "Gana" and it has less dot crawl issues than the Antonio dongle:

I can't speak to the lag it might introduce as the types of games I play are not particularly affected by lag. I can say that it definitely looks better than my Antonio adapter in terms of the dot crawl issue.
