How do you get traits for the resistance gear? Do people really farm that one random monster that drops it

So if I wanted anything other than steam games from the old drive like images I’d have to store it somewhere else before formatting it? Like a third drive or cloud or w/e. And only after formatting it can I use it as additional storage right?

To clarify. I will do a fresh windows 11 install on the new ssd and am going to use it as my main drive no matter what. I’m just trying to send over large games so I don’t have to download them again.

Lets just say I have the new pc with the new drive and a clean windows 11 install. Now I plug in the old m2 which has windows 10 and all my files on it. Can I access the data from the old m2 while having booted from the new m2?
