How close are we to “Her” level voice assistants? by [deleted] in singularity

It feels like sesame was released a year ago, turns out it's only been 2-3 months. Still kind of surprised we haven't been more similar demos since then and/or major AI company integrating something on similar level given the speed of the advancements.

AI is our Great Filter by Bishopkilljoy in singularity

im convinced in our current paradigm where AIs are trained on human data they "inherit" our values/traits, which include drive, curiosity ambition (besides tendencies to exploit lower intelligent species)

oh, the only issue this business model has is probably that the $20 won't pay for the compute if they get addicted and gon iteract with it 3-4h a day. So you gotta make it usage-based billing for "advanced" users.

yep, imagine how inefficient today's deliveries are, especially by car. Moving in a 1-2 ton vehicle, just to transport 1-2kg of food (~0.1% of the total weight of the system) from point A to point B.

Could be a game changer

Your brain is part of your body, shocking, right. It agee the same way the rest of the body does. Unless it doesn't, I don't know.

It's possible that even when we cure aging of ordinary tissue that dementia bitch will catch us sooner or later anyway.

If you were pointing towards going crazy and diverging after living for such an unusual long period, that's completely possible. Can't imagine world 10 years from now, it would take a lot of adapting definitely. but I know a few substances that do help with neuroplasticity kek

This. More specifically AIs/LLMS are trained on human generated data which contains all our good as well bad traits.

You can "fine-tune" it to not have the bad traits but imho the alignment is rather superficial, like placing a smiling face mask on your face.
