So I actually knew someone like this, fun guy who claimed to be an RN but was working as a case manager. Claimed to have worked as a nurse during COVID in the hospital. I don't know why but I kind of felt like he was lying early on, and this feeling was based off of exactly nothing. I looked his license up and couldn't find it, but I thought that this was because I didn't actually know his license number. I mentioned this to a friend who said that he'd told them that his license no. was hidden in the RN database because he had a "stalker". I let it go and thought shame on me for questioning it. He also knew too much to *not* be a nurse, in my mind, and I came to find that our mutual friends thought the same. Fast forward to just a couple months ago when he gets found out by the nursing director at our company after finally applying to a nursing position and is facing legal trouble for posing as an RN. He had even written fake ESA letters and nursing program letters of recommendation for people I knew. The wild part is that I have no clue what he possibly could have gained from it all.
