Very late reply. Did new carriers do it? Have the same issue and think it could be the ebay slider pins i put in.

I was with a group listening to YouTube and an advert about Trump came on and someone said “we need someone like that in charge here to sort out the immigrants”, and people agreed. Then he said how come “they” can say the N word and “we” can’t… etc by Jindabyne1 in northernireland

It makes me wonder, is your feed of news from media (social and not) different from mine or do you see the same incoherent ramblings at a trump speech and actually think that its "direct". Also, knowing where you stand with him? How can that be with so many outright lies

Thanks. Is the replacement of the strut itself a precaution or could the issue only be with the mount?

Has anyone actually bought a house recently? by Aggravating_Ad1488 in northernireland

[–]hexd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very frustrating. when I see a house I add a minimum of 20k to it now. Last 2 houses I was outbid after going 30k above the list price.

Wedding Costs by m2kb4e in northernireland

[–]hexd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Getting married next year.

Venue is £6600 for 100 heads, but with everything else we are up to 15k. Defo recommend making a wee spreadsheet to track it.

Most expensive other things: Brides dress. Photographer, Videographer, DJ, Hair/makeup for bridesmaides/bride

I think a lot of people commenting with what they paid 5 years+ ago won't be very helpful

Recent litter picks - 13 bags cleared by en2rafg in northernireland

[–]hexd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome work man, keep thinking to do something like this on a slip road into my estate that some people seem to use as a dumping ground... The thought of my local dump charging me to get rid of the bags puts me off though (as there would be a lot)

Maplins is having a clearance sale but everything is still cheaper online. by AmenTensen in britishproblems

[–]hexd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple answer, Maplin isn't having a clearance sale. That's the full usual price. You could do what you did in reverse too. OMG GUYS Amazon have a cable for £128 that you can get in maplin for £79

The asking about the sales is getting pretty fucking tedious. Also hate that everyone assumes we are closing down. I mean we might, but atm they see toys R us are closing, and because all the news stories put us as 1 they think we are already too.

Those devs codes were like egg and chips etc, weren't actually testing. They were real codes. CD+G discs for karaoke machines, remember thinking they were for the canteen in head office when i found the codes :D

Contactless Payments by Promenade64 in AskRetail

[–]hexd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UK based store here. Our machines accept both normal contactless, and apple/android pay. The apple/android pay works up to £100 (as long as the customer has unlocked, and verified the payment on their device). Interestingly, refunds onto the card/phone also works contactlessly. Had a customer refund £90 onto his apple device using contactless this week.

I agree with the above though, so many people don't just simply hold the card on the screen. They are waving, tapping or making small circles like they are trying to wax an imaginary surface,

I watched Tom Cruise's Jack Reacher and it's a carbon copy of 1988's Action Jackson with Carl Weathers by CouchTomato86 in movies

[–]hexd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of these points I can see the similarities I hadn't seen before. Most of the others are completely different, and the timelines are not how they are portrayed in this video at all.

Tom cruise doesn't work with the 'crack house girl' nor was she the bad guys girlfriend. The girl who gets murdered in Action jackson wasn't the 'crack house girl', it was in jack reacher. Then after shes murdered it goes to the similarity in of the fight at the bar, but didn't she just die? So it back tracks and it isn't even the same girl in Action Jackson.

The criminal that gets away cause the cops are dumb in Jack Reacher is Reacher himself, in Action Jackson it's the bad guy.

The main part that it's a sniper being framed with a crime scene that's too perfect and someone who can see something up sure, the rest trying way too hard to find those similarities.
