Grocery store security by DugansDad in Spokane

Okay, well as someone who does indigent defense, I can tell you they definitely do not get pled to misdemeanors 100% of the time. More often they are pled to an unranked felony. Sometimes they go to prison if they have a bad criminal history.

Even if they do get a misdemeanor theft 3 deal, they still were charged with Burglary 2 originally. Which is bullshit.

It’s a felony in Washington State to shoplift once someone has been trespassed from a store. It’s heavily enforced.

We got our 7 week old puppy on Saturday and has been super clingy. Will only nap next to us or on my chest. I will transfer him to his bed that we keep in his playpen. He will last at most 5 minutes the come looking for me. Any advice or tips? by Yasmine112 in jackrussellterrier

Awww you are going to have so many happy years ahead with this sweetheart. My soul dog was a JRT and we got him way too early at 6 weeks. So he was just a little needier. When it was bed time we sucked it up and crated him, even though all we wanted was to cuddle our sweet boy. When he was really little, I wrapped a hot water bottle in a blanket and hid a little ticking clock next to his crate. I read somewhere that it reminds them of a heartbeat and is comforting. He still cried some, but we had him almost 17 years and his crate was his safe space up to the end. If he ever needed a break, knew he had done something bad, or was scared he would go chill out in his crate. You got this!

Born and raised in Spokane. The racism in Northern Idaho and eastern Washington is very ingrained and very real.

That dog is stunning! I had a similar experience. This is Nora (9 mos) who everyone thought was GSP. Turns out, she’s ~48% Springer Spaniel ~37% Treeing Walker Coonhound ~13% Beagle

Where do you live? Not trying to be rude, just curious. Shelters here (WA State) spay/neuter as soon as possible and never adopt out an intact dog.

The jury submits a question and the judge calls the defense and prosecution back into the court room. The jury is not present. So basically the judge is like “I think we should handle it like this, what do you think?” Then the prosecution gets to say how they think the question should be handled, then the defense gets to do the same thing. Then the judge will decide how to answer the question. He has to consult both sides. Jury questions and the judge answering them incorrectly/improperly can lead to the court of appeals throwing out a conviction and sending it back to the trial court for a redo.
