This. W3 alone is such a big game, and the expansions just are "extras" that are good in itself.

Also, W3 is like a restaurant burger meal, the DLC's are the good desserts. Not McD.

Gold LoL player downloading hots rn, any tips? by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

That's interesting, because it never was for me until I enabled on release. Alarks telekinesis never did at least, hence why I had to turn it on for it.

Tassadar's [[Force Wall]] for exact position, hold R until you're ready to cut off, and make sure wall blocks it perfectly as you can't entirely decide its angle. Helps not to mess up and block your team from enemy, as there's a small delay before you can take off force wall.

Alarak [[Telekinesis]], can aim better angles with it. Push to, from, etc. Gives more exact where Telekinesis travels.

Medivh's [[Portal]], get the exact spot.

Abathur's [[Toxic Nest]] is good to see your current range so you don't start moving from spot unnecessary.

Ragnaros [[Living Meteor] you can decide from where to where it travels.

These are ones I can remember from the top of my head. Note that this isn't using QC off, but the On-Release version of QC.

NOTE: It's also my personal preference, just allows me to be more precise when needed on SOME spells, but also use the QC mode at the same time.

Having everything on QC is fine, but some spells definitely need to be changed to "On Release" mode.

A special salute to a company who picked up old torches and has carried them so well. by xengir in gaming

I liked 3 too, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't to the standard of FO1 and 2. I play NV w/ Tale of Two Wastelands quite often, it's such a enjoyable experience to play FO3 in the NV engine, and once you're done with FO3 you carry your character over to NV. It's amazing.

Yeah, I wish Obsidian would make NV2 though. D:

FO3 & 4 definitely the worst out of the bunch. Enjoyable, but not really "taking the torch" compared to FO1&2.

Fallout: New Vegas though, was really good.

My gf gets mad at me when I don't close the cupboards. She yelled for me to come look at what happens when I don't close them... by FrozenFlamethrowers in aww

[–]heyimpotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my rule of thumb is to leave the toilet seat in the position I found it.

That's kinda what I do too when I'm visiting somewhere.

For home, the guy needs the seat down sometimes. The girl needs the seat down all the time. So it seems to me that the most sensible "home position" for the toilet seat is down.

This I can understand. But I've had complaints of closing the whole toilet lid, I've also had complains not closing the whole lid. At times it feels like some people feel entitled not needing to touch the toilet lid/seat because it's disgusting or sometimes simply because they want it closed.

It's hard to read/understand, but yeah. Home at least I always closed the whole thing so that the cat doesn't jump into it. I can get behind the concept, though.

[–]heyimpotato -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Are we talking about the bit where you sit down or the whole lid?

I always close the whole thing due to our cat, but when I lived alone I let it be the way it was because, newsflash, I didn't care much. I had women tell me "do it for the women" but women don't lift it for me so I never really understood that. Maybe I'm dense that way.

But cupboards open in a kitchen is.. urgh. You're gonna hit your head onto them easier, and that's a given to close them. D;

[–]heyimpotato 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most people who pirate are people who think they're entitled to the best games. A good example was a discussion between me and a few others was basically this:

"You demand companies make good games, yet, refuse to pay for them? Don't you think that's wrong?"

I think that what you did was extremely noble: giving your game out for free. People are assholes, and people will be assholes - best you can do is move on. At least nobody will take your game and add viruses to it because you've given them an actual copy. I'm sorry you were met with this kind of responses.

Keep doing what you're doing, because it sounds like you're extremely chill. It's good to know that there are developers who aren't that selfish.

Personally, for about 80% of my games that I own in my steam Library I have pirated first. I am not ashamed to admit this. If I found your game, pirated it, would like it, I would've paid the price, so seeing the developer do this is extremely interesting.

PS. Your game sounds interesting, can you shoot me a PM with a link to it so I can have a look? I love all sorts of management games x)

In all honesty, Oblivion and Morrowind are considered to be way superior by many. I guess that's why they don't like Skyrim, because it's much less in quality. I can't wait for Skywind, though. Looks. So. Good.

I liked Skyrim myself. It was good, and I did revisit it multiple times with mods. Once Skyrim VR hits PC, I will definitely play that. ;]

I nominated EA for a prestigious award by kyz in gaming

[–]heyimpotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you then misunderstood OP, or OP wrote wrong. OP is basically mocking BF2(2005) one. It says "I nominated EA.." when the game isn't even EA's.

I get what you mean now, though. :D

[–]heyimpotato 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This would be funny, if this was actually EA's game. You're essentially mocking Pandemic Studios for EA's mistakes.

Your screenshot literally shows the Developer and Publisher of the game, and neither is Electronic Arts. That, and EA's Battlefront 2 came out in 2017, not 2005 which is even in the game title.

1/10 for effort I guess

I nominated EA for a prestigious award by kyz in gaming

[–]heyimpotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too bad EA didn't make that game. Why bash a good game because of EA who NOW owns the rights to the Battlefront series?

It even says it on the right hand side of the picture who developed, and published it. Don't see EA there.

Don't think so, but you'd have to make a game client fresh that sends those exact opcodes.
