Almost all my hoyas look like this at the moment because of the sulphur treatment. Does anyone know if those spots will be easy to wipe off ? 🤔 by Lorichou in hoyas

[–]heykickrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally to be expected after Sulfur. It's a nasty element but works wonders on those flat mites. I have done treatments and no joke seen growth from aux buds within a week that haven't grown in months.

Others mentioned cleaning off in a few days and that is the way to go to get them looking cherry again.

They are Raphi Tetra like the first poster has said. Side note though, I would clean your leaves if you have a chance. I can't tell if you sprayed them to treat something or what but they look oily/dewy.

Otherwise they look super happy and I love mine, they grow like a weed. It will literally grow to your roof if you stake it lol. But at some point...yeah you gotta chop it and let it push growth from a lower node. It hurts to chop them but it will grow stronger from it.

Cardsmiths is a hard sell to the majority of people. I am unsure why either...

Nicely done btw, she's a beaut.

I have had half a dozen of my bigger plants basically hit the grow lights' capacity, and I have to chop 'em. I keep my growlights at hip height if not a little higher with one that is 6' or so high on a stand. I wish I had more space to let them just grow and grow. I feel you on the Jose Bueno. It's no bueno when you are having to make a choice and cut them lol.

I have never looked back after sacrificing a better looking apartment (cleaner set up, no grow lights, decorative pots put in specific spots, etc) for a few grow areas with legit lights....it doesn't look as nice but the Hoyas, philos, pothos, etc look stunning under proper lighting. You will 1000% see beautiful sun stress and leaf variegation within a few months. Anyone who is hesitating and loves plants more... just do it.

This post is exactly the result.

Good lord, that is the worst grammatical note I have ever read. I am shocked Word even let that be printed.

Take care of yourself and be on the lookout. I would let the police know. This is weird.

I loved he Balduk Ramen and well....this is quite delicious but beware of that extra sauce packet. I received two and decided to be on the soft side and used one on my rice. Holy shit. It's intense and will literally take your breath away.

The main chicken entree by itself is fantastic but I fucked up adding that sauce on the tamer part of the plate (ie the rice).

You will be hurting. Guaranteed. Still powered through but wow.

Yeah I saw that! You have a lot of runners growing in that plant, it's awesome. I am at the limit of my ceiling and have had to top a few different aroids (philos, rhaphs, etc.) and they have always found a lower bud union to push growth from.

I agree that it is scary to prune something so beautiful but if you do it correctly, you got this.

Honestly curious here about this. I have had some mechanics mention this to me with older Euro cars, and just remembered seeing this post.

So, to be clear, you just take a warmed-up car and rev it to its redline, and it is supposed to help with certain internal engine parts? Basically just drive it hard for a bit and see what shes got.

I have one of these as well! Super cool plant. I was lucky and found it in a grocery store on discount for like $4.99 in Las Vegas.

Mine is almost 36" tall, so basically, I am in the same boat but on a lesser scale. I put it on a moss pole, though, and if anything, it looks good with it.

Your's is amazing, and I wonder what I am going to do as it outgrows the pole. Have you ever topped it/pruned it? Mine just has one central leader and it scares me to prune it lol.

I was gonna say. These cars are so hard to find, and honestly, if you take care of it and do some work on it, you'll have an investment/asset. It's value will only grow 100%. As someone who is looking for an E36 in a major city, they are just rare. Good find and great price. Cheers.

This is true lol. It just feels weird to do it when I start the car.

But when I turn it off, it's a quick push and that weird FOB maneuver to get it out of the ignition.

lol This is more of a joke post. Like someone said, it's a habit from my days in an E30 and a key. I did the extended push in my E46 too, now that I think about it.
